Visit to the Beach

After the Peace Arch, we took the kids to the beach.

Auntie Tracy bought us all some ice cream sandwiches...yummy!

We gave the kids strict instructions to stay dry...we specifically focused on Marcus.

Emma and Sophie decided to look for some sea glass.

Olivia and Ceci decided it was pretty windy and cold on the beach.

Emma was a pro at finding sea glass.

We were originally finding it for Auntie Tracy but by the time we were done Emma hid a baggie for herself :-)  Who can blame her...that was a lot of work!

Olivia and Ceci trying to hang on to this blanket...Marcus being Marcus...Love this picture because I was focused on Olivia and Ceci and didn't even realize our little hunter with his riffle was in it too.

Olivia and Emma thought the seaweed was a little scary...Emma is stomping on it.

Ok, so maybe it's not fair to take a 4-year old to the beach and tell him he can't get wet.

Before we knew it he was slowly starting to run through the water.  I'm zooming in on him so he thinks he's getting away with it without Mommy knowing.

Olivia, still amazed by this seaweed.

Maybe I shouldn't be running...

But really, this is a beach after all, isn't it?

The girls decided to see how far this seaweed would stretch.

Yeah, I think I'm going to just go for it...

Whooo Hoooo!  This is fun!

I honestly gave up and just let him go.

He did this for a long time.

Hey Mom, I'm pretty wet!

Olivia and the seaweed eventually made friends.

Marcus was pretty cold...ok Mom, maybe you were right!

Eventually we had to leave the beach; Emma didn't want to go...no worries though, we plan to hit another beach tomorrow!  At this point, we've managed to tire the kids out so much they were all in bed and asleep before eight o'clock!  Can't wait for tomorrow's adventures!

I can almost smell the salt air! Wish I was there.
