Senior Year Track

Marcus is competing in track again this year. They had an invite in Colville today. His events were 100 meters, 4x100 relay, 4x400 relay and high jump. I missed his 100 meters race ut saw online that he got a personal best time of 12.14...great start! I did get to witness the 4x100 relay. Marcus and Javante had the perfect hand off...they are legs 3 and 4. Marcus ran so hard and fast...the other teams tried to catch up but in the end, Rams WON! They had a personal best time of 45.95! Marcus pulled his quad so they had to withdraw from the 4x400. He did finish the high jump though, with a pulled quad! He ended at 5'6" which remains to be his best so far. He did place 4th so that's pretty awesome. Overall it was a great day for track!

Olivia’s Game

I found these pictures on Cal Lu’s website. Olivia pitched a complete game yesterday and got the win!  She gets to bat as a pitcher too which was always a goal for her. She’s doing so well. We get to watch live streams but next week we will be there in person. I can’t wait!

 

Arizona Girls Trip

Our book club had a girls trip to Scottsdale AZ to see Shannon’s beautiful new house. It started out as a joke when Brenda suggested our activity be a hike in AZ and ended with an invite from Shannon and plane tickets booked. It was hotter than expected which limited some activities Shannon originally planned. Our first day we decided to shop and headed to Cave Creek for a nice dinner. We woke up early Friday and wore our new black and white outfits for a morning hike. We had a nice breakfast at a cute restaurant and spent the rest of the day in Shannon’s pool. We did a surprise grandbaby shower to celebrate Shannon’s first grandchild due in July. We thought it would be appropriate to get her children's books for her AZ house for her granddaughter. Her daughter’s name is Emma and she’s naming the baby Olivia; crazy!  I had to get her some Olivia books. We ended with a sunset steak dinner we all cooked together. It was the perfect girls trip and we have decided this will be an annual tradition for sure!
