Oktoberfest

The girls go to the YMCA program after school this year.  It's held at their school, but today the kids were all bused to the actual YMCA for Oktoberfest.  I picked Marcus up from daycare and we headed over to get the girls.  When we arrived, their party hadn't even started.  They were waiting patiently for all the fun.

They both got really sad when I got there; they thought they had to go home.  I assured them that we would stay for the fun...so they were all smiles.

They lined the kids up and then they got to go through craft and snack tables.  They made ghosts, scarecrows, pumpkins...it was great!

The snack tables were crafty too.  They all enjoyed making Oreo Spiders.

Too cute...pretzels for legs...they all did a great job!

I even let them eat it!

They had a ton of sugar (right before dinner!) and a ton of fun.

Emma even got some "blood" to drink...it was really red punch but she thought it was cool.  They even had rings frozen in ice cubes in the punch.  So far I've been really impressed with the Y program.  I think it was a good move for the kids.  Makes me feel a lot better about my decision to go back to full-time this year.  Can't wait to see what else they do this year!
