Trick or Treat 2012

The kids got all dressed up and were ready for some trick or treating tonight.

The girls had a Halloween party at school and were already pretty wired.

Marcus had a little party at daycare too; they were ready for some more though!

As tradition holds, we headed over to Makayla's house to do some trick or treating in her neighborhood.  These three love their little reunions.

Quick picture as we wait for the other kids.

Little Hunter and Aubrey joined us too.  They live in this neighborhood as well so it worked out perfectly.

This scary guy sat on his porch waiting for kids and then jumped up and scared him.  He was there all night.  Our kids caught on though and he was nice enough not to scare them too bad.

Here's our little group this year (we dropped Aubrey and Hunter at home by this time)...so fun!

Then we stopped by the neighbor's house...they left the kids some candy in a bowl on their porch.  So sweet!  Happy Halloween everyone!

Pumpkin Carving

Once Daddy got home last night...it was pumpkin carving time.  Notice the ghosts hanging from the ceiling; the girls made those at the YMCA after school program...I thought they were so cute and needed to be displayed; our ceiling fan seemed like the perfect place.

Olivia gets messy!

Emma digs right in too.

Of course Marcus wants to get messy...this is a dream for him.

Emma did a great job getting out lots of seeds...which of course we roasted later too.

The finished pumpkins.  Daddy, Olivia, Emma, Marcus (he wanted a pirate...that's what Daddy came up with)...Mommy just helped...we only had HUGE pumpkins left and I really didn't want to carve one of those.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Elk Season

Okay, so not the most appetizing picture, but have you ever seen a 4-year old so excited to have some meat on the table!  Nice work Daddy!  Our grocery bill is getting smaller and smaller this year :-)

I also wanted to add the photo of the Great Hunter!  We LOVE this guy!!!  :-)

Fall!

It was just the kids and me this weekend.  It rained most of the weekend so we did a lot of cleaning around the house and some shopping.  By the time Sunday afternoon came, the kids just wanted to be outside.  They had a great idea to rake up the leaves...mostly they wanted to make a big pile and jump in them.  Look at them all hard at work!

Marcus got the shovel out to scoop the leaves up.

Olivia got one kind of rake to rake them.

Emma chose another kind of rake.

Quick smile for Mommy.

And another cute little smile.

Marcus, what are you up to?

Can't resist throwing up those leaves...too cute!

Me too, says Olivia!

Emma had to get into the action as well.

Hooray for FALL!!!

We also wanted to show off our HUGE pumpkins.  All of those pumpkins are from our very own garden!  Pretty cool!

WE LOVE FALL!!!

Marcus Lost His First Tooth!

A few days after Marcus got his stitches, we noticed he had his first loose tooth.  Not sure if that was related or just a coincidence?  Well, a couple of nights ago he was running around then he suddenly stopped and said "Oh No!  I think my tooth is ready!"  Marcus really wanted to try the floss/door trick like Emma, but we couldn't get the floss to stay on his tooth.

He decided to just take matters into his own hands.  He is such a brave boy.

Sure enough, he pulled out his own tooth!  You can see slight tears, but for the most part he was pretty excited.

We let him see it for himself.

Then one for the camera.  He was so proud to have joined his sisters by reaching this milestone.  It was pretty cute too; later when he was brushing his teeth he came running out with a huge grin and said "Momma!  I've got a hole in my smile!"  How precious is that :-)

Pumpkin Patches

We woke up bright and early and headed to the farms...starting with pumpkin donuts of course!

We met up with some friends...quick picture of the kids (Emma, Olivia, Hunter, Aubrey, Marcus)

We found a great spot for a family photo...here's our family!

Jordan, Easton and Kallie also joined us.

Hunter, Stefanie, Aubrey and Dustin...Hunter was the birthday boy from yesterday's monster party.

We went to another farm and helped Hunter and Aubrey pick out pumpkins.  We already have too many pumpkins at our house so we did not get any this year at the farms.

Emma thought the white ones were pretty cool though; and heavy!

Jordan pulled the kids around for a while.

Marcus and Aubrey, sitting in a wheelbarrow (can you see where I'm going with this...hahaha...just kidding...they are pretty cute together though).

Next we headed to the farm we always go to each year.  This was the farm that shoots pumpkins out of the cannon.  Cool photo opp, don't you think.

We got there just in time to see a pumpkin fly out of the cannon.  Olivia had her spot and was so excited.

Marcus found his spot too...

Then he looked over and saw this big straw pit...that looks like fun!

Eventually all the kids saw that.  Hunter had a blast with Olivia.

They piled up the straw and took turns jumping in.

Good lookin' group there!

Jump Girls Jump!

Emma thought this would make a nice bed.

Marcus seriously did flips off the hay stacks...he sure worries Mommy and Daddy with his little tricks...but he had a blast!

We ended with petting the ponies.  What a fun day!
