Weekend on the lake

We went to Steve's Priest Lake house this weekend to get away from town.  We set up the camper Saturday morning and then out came the games.  We started with Volleyball.  The kids learned to pass and all did quite well.

 

Then we moved on to badmitton.  Goofy little Marcus.

The kids learned to hit the birdy and did pretty well at that too.

Then we decided to take a few group photos.

We heard a rumor there was a school nearby so the kids and I went to explore.  Along the way we saw this cool fountain and believe it or not the kids begged me to take their picture.

We found the playground...it was really close to the house.  Perfect!  They had these cute rings tht looked like handcuffs.  Marcus pretended he was a bad guy.

Of course there were monkey bars.  Olivia went on them so much she ended up with blisters!

There were 2 climbing walls!  It was an awesome park.  We played there Sunday too.

Then after the playground we decided to check out Priest Lake.  Here we are staying out of the way while Daddy and Steve get the boat in the water.

Marcus and Emma wanted to be front and center.

Unfortunately a big storm was coming in quickly so we decided we needed to get off the water. 

Marcus had to try out some swimming of course.  The water was very cold but of course he didn't mind.

The girls tried it out too...brrrr....

It did rain and then it cleared up again.  Steve decided to bring out his daugher's motorcycle and give the kids a ride.  Marcus is hooked!

Steve also gave rides on his motorcycle.  Olivia loved it!  I remembe when this little girl used to be afraid of stuff like this...she just begged for more!

Emma loved it too.  Our kids really want motorcycles now.  Oh no!  Not sure how Mommy feels about that.

Marcus loved the little bike.  We told him once he learns to ride his bike without training wheels then he can ride something like this.  He's determined now!

Sunday was very rainy...the morning was nice but from lunch on it was a downpour.  The kids stayed in the camper most of Sunday but still had a great time.  I have to work all week except Weds so we came back home for me last night.  We'll head back for the fourth though so there's more to come from the lake...
