Marc and the kids went back to the lake on Thursday while I stayed home to work. I did get to go to a movie with friends and had dinner with my brother and his girlfriend so it wasn't all work and no play for me. Marc did a great job with the kids...they got to hang out with lots of new friends. This is Trent with Olivia. He is 18 months old and his Mom said he had quite the crush on Olivia.

We found a great beach to relax on. It was a little camp site with a picnic table and lots of sandy beach space. It was awesome! Marc put his lawn chair right on the edge so he could stay as cool as possible.

Marcus LOVED the sand. He had a blast playing with all the boys that were there too. The Starks came and brought Evan with them so Marcus hung with Evan most of the day (sadly I didn't get a picture).

Marcus wanted to go too of course. He got to hang out with a little girl on the tube. It was so funny watching him. He talked her ear off the entire time. He's such a ladies man.

He was even in charge of the flag when others went. One little mishap at the end of the day scared him a little though. He was behind Chad's boat on a tube with Evan and the tube got sucked under the water. As a result Marcus and Evan ended up in the water. He learned pretty quickly how a life jacket works but it did give him quite the scare.
Priest Lake Marina did a huge fireworks show on Saturday night and we promised the kids we'd go. It was super dark and we walked to an area that was grassy and the next thing I knew Marcus stopped to pick something up...it was a FROG! Only Marcus. We finally convinced him to put it down so he wouldn't hurt it...he would have brought it home if we would have let him.
Olivia and Emma made it for the entire show but Marcus ended up falling asleep before it was over. Mommy acted as the couch for all three kids at one point.
Sunday morning while Daddy cleaned up the camp site, I took the kids back to Priest Lake Marina for a little more beach time.
We got home around 2pm with the intention of getting stuff done around the house. However it was 99 degrees outside so the farthest we made it was to the pool. It was much to hot to do anything else. Our A/C broke last summer so the house was unbearable! Luckily it did cool down a little at night but the forecast is hot hot hot so we will be suffering. We've even discussed sleeping in the camper since it does have a working A/C. If the nights don't stay cool...you'd better belive we'll be out there!

Great photos from a wonderful weekend adventure! Glad the weather was so perfect and really glad Marcus had a life jacket on. He's such a water boy I'm surprised he was surprised by the dunking!
