Country Wedding

We went to the wedding of Brett Turner and MaryAnn Swift yesterday. Brett is a long-time family friend of Marc's family. Lucky for us the wedding was very close to where we live so we didn't have to travel far. It was held on a beautiful ranch...the weather cooperated for a pretty outdoor ceremony.

Grami got a great family shot of us after the ceremony.
There were lots of cool places perfect for pictures. Marcus decided to be a little silly.
Then he said he would be serious (I personally like the silly picture better though...)

Our little cowgirl, Olivia. Giddy-up!

Of course a cake picture just for Nana :-)

They had these cool "Wanted" signs up all over the place...what a clever idea.

The girls were not shy about the bouquet toss...they didn't catch it though.

Marcus didn't know what he was doing...the guys just let the garter fall and made Marcus pick it up. He got a lot of attention.

But he didn't really want it. He wouldn't even take a picture with the groom (who happens to be around 7 feet tall and a little intimidating so I don't really blame little Marcus...I don't think he's ever seen anyone that tall!).

During the father daughter dance they invited all the fathers to dance with their daughters. Here is Marc with Emma and behind you can see Colby with Elle. All those spots on this picture are from the dust in the air. My flash caught it well. There really was a ton of dust in the barn. The floor was dirt, rocks and hay. When we left the allergy sufferers in the group were miserable. We all took baths and showers as soon as we got home. It was a cool place for a wedding reception though.

They also let the mothers and sons dance during the mother son dance. Overall it was a spectacular wedding. Congratulations to Brett and MaryAnn!

Looks and sounds like a great wedding. What a great idea to have all the fathers dance with their daughters and the mothers with their sons. I liked the silly picture with Marcus too.
