Our last day at the beach happened to fall on Easter Sunday. The kids were really worried that the Easter Bunny wouldn't find them...they forgot to let him know that they were camping the last time they saw him...no worries though...the Easter Bunny is smart and he found them! Marcus was the first one up and was so excited to see he got something!
While some kids are doing Easter Egg hunts and going to Easter Mass...ours are up bright and early for another CLAM DIG!!! Olivia is ready!
The kids stand by Daddy ready to grab those clams. They were so good...they even stuck their hands in the holes if they saw one. Marcus decided he wanted to dig his own.
Marcus gave it his all and actually did get one with just a little help from me...he was so proud; so was I!
More digging by Daddy. I was able to get my 15 plus 3 this time...I'm finally getting the hang of it. Poor Marc had to dig the kids' both days though...he was tired!
This is a look down the beach...those are all the people that came out early to dig clams. It was crazy and amazing. We filled our limits of 15 each again and as we were driving back to the camp site we passed a huge line of traffic. We were so glad we started early and avoided that traffic.
Here are Emma and Marcus dragging their treasures back. They are heavy but the requirement is they have to carry their own in order for this to be legal. They did great!
It was hard work though, Marcus was pretty tired by the time we got back to the truck. We got to the camp site at 8am and were packed up and on the road by 9. We stopped at Grami and Poppi's for a yummy Easter lunch and a little break.
Marcus discovered the Oergel Creek had been filled with water after being empty all winter. My instructions were to stay dry...obviously Marcus' listening ears weren't on. We just can't keep that kid away from water.
