Fall Ball

Since COVID caused the girls’ spring and summer ball to mostly be cancelled we decided to find some fall ball. 

This weekend we went to Lewiston, ID.  The girls were so excited to play!  Here is a catcher/pitcher meeting at the start of the first game vs. Mudhens.

Emma got her cast off so she is back in business!  Look at that smile; says it all.

Ready to play!  We lost 3 girls from last season and gained 2 new girls.

Emma was happy to be hitting again too.

She loves to pitch too.  Emma was right behind her ready to back her up at short stop.

More pitching for Olivia.  We ended up winning the first game...on to the second.

Emma was the catcher in the second game.

She didn't miss a beat.

Olivia finished this game off for the team.  When she was put in, there were no outs and bases loaded...the score was 10-3 with our team behind.  She shut them down quickly and no one scored again in this inning..

She did her job well...only one run was scored on her.  Daddy proudly looks on.

Game 3 and the smoke really started rolling in from all the fires in the western half of the United States.

Emma played shortstop again in the third game...here she snags a ball.

Emma had a great time and was so glad to be back to playing.  It was a little rough in the beginning but she worked through everything and came back strong.  We were so proud of her...she never gave up.

The smoke was horrible by the end of the first day.

These two played so great!  Unfortunately this time the tournament was cancelled after day one due to unhealthy air conditions...they just can't win this year...if it's not COVID, it's smoke!  We have a few more tournaments this fall so hopefully we can get those in.  Either way, these girls played their hearts out and had a blast doing it!  We are proud.
