Wooden Bat Tournament

The All-Star team competed in the Deer Park Wooden Bat Tournament this weekend.  They started by playing Newport.

Marcus is having fun playing on this team.

He does really well in the outfield and loves playing there.

Saturday morning the boys got to ride in the town parade.  Here are the 10U and 12U Tri-County All-Stars.

They ended up walking and handing out candy.

Then off to the fields to warm up for their next game.

The girls came to this game; they had softball tryouts during Marcus's first game Friday night.

The girls love to support their brother.

Ball!  Good Eye Marcus.

Marcus was walked by the pitcher.

He stole to second and then off to third.

Safe!

That was close!

He stole home but got out.

That was a tough one.

Gramie was there to cheer him up though.

Then he made a great catch in the outfield.

The girls were so excited for him.

The outfield gets together to discuss the next play.

Marcus looks like he's having fun.

Love to see him smile.

Thanks for coming Gramie!

They had cotton candy too!

Third game was in the hot sun....well really the whole weekend was hot.

Marcus got to pitch.

He was pretty nervous.

Good job Marcus!

This has been great experience for Marcus.

Marcus also competed in the Home Run Derby.

He got 10 pitches to try for the most home runs.

He tried really hard.

He never gave up.

Nice job Marcus!

The winner had 5 home runs!  That's a lot!  Marcus ended with a smile.

Marc pitched to him...it was a good team effort.

Sunday morning was early...an 8am game.
They were the first game so got to stand for the National Anthem.

Marcus made it on base.

But they lost they game...overall they took 6th place in the tournament.

Great Job 10U Try-County All-Stars!
