Bear Lake Field Trip

Marcus's class went to Bear Lake to learn all about nature.

They started by finding little bugs in the water.

They identified them and determined that the water was high quality.

They also learned about trees.

They got to know the different kinds of trees.

They even made a trunk and noted important things that happened in their own lives.

During lunch Marcus played cards with his friends.

Marcus's last station was the survival station.

They learned all about what to do if you get lost in the woods.

They had to break into teams and make a shelter.  Marcus's team worked so well together.

I was so proud of their teamwork.

Great job kids!  This was such a fun field trip.

Early Bird Tournament

The girls had a tournament in Coeur d'Alene this weekend.  Olivia played some left field.

Emma hit the ball well and ran the bases really well.

Emma played some right field.

Olivia also played at second.

We finally got the banner!  Look how good they look!

We all stayed at a campground together for this tournament.  Olivia, Paige, Emma, Brooke, Lucy and Lane even swam in the river...brr.

Marcus had to join too.

We even found Cruz at this tournament!

We played one game Friday night and then back to the fields Saturday morning for another game.  Emma up to bat.

We won the first game but lost the second.  We all went back to the campground for a team BBQ for lunch.  Here are all the girls posing on the dock.

Marcus had a pretty good time with all those girls.

We had a lot of time between games Saturday so the girls did a lot of team bonding.

Back to the fields for a 6:30pm game.  Emma slides into home...she's Safe!

We won the last game of the day which put us in the Gold bracket for Sunday.  On our way to the car we stopped by the cool baseball field.  Emma posed by the dugout.

Sunday morning started early with a game at 9:45am.  The girls had to wait for the field to clear.

We decided it was a good time for another team photo.

Olivia got to be a captain on this game.  They lost the game so that put them in the consolation bracket.  Our next game was at 3pm.

We went back to camp to relax and eat lunch.

We ended up winning the last game of the day.  Emma got to be captain for this game.

These girls are so tight.  They wrote their numbers and a little inspiration on their hands and took this picture themselves.  This is such a fun group.  What a great weekend!

Marcus's Baseball Game

Marcus has been playing in the outfield and doing really well.  He's made some great catches.

He's batting really well too.

He is determined to hit the ball.

I told him I'd buy him a McFlurry if he hit a ball and made it on base.

He wants this!

He did hit the ball...he actually had 2 great hits!  Here he is sliding to third.
