Gia's Birthday

We made a trip to Sandpoint for dinner with the cousins for Gia's birthday.

Happy 8th Birthday Gia!

It was a short trip but so fun to see everyone!

March of Dimes Walk

Yesterday was a busy day.  Marc took Olivia to Pitching practice south of town, I took Marcus to Pitching practice in the Valley and Emma was invited to go to the March of Dimes walk with one of her school friends.

Emma's friend's Mom was nice enough to send me pictures.  They had lots to do at the walk.  Emma got to sit on a police motorcycle.

They got cool bracelets.

There were lots of fun attractions.  They walked 3 miles total.  After all of this we headed to Chewelah for the Tilla boys' birthday...I didn't get any pictures there though.  It was a fun filled day for sure!  We were all very tired at the end of the day and slept well.

Third Grade Class Picture

Marcus's class picture this year.  Don't you love his expression...there are several boys with the same expression.  I asked Marcus what the photographer said to them and he didn't remember anything specific...pretty darn cute!

Softball Under the Lights

The girls got to play under the lights!  There's Olivia on the right...there's our Yukon in the background too!

The MudDogs on the field.

The game went 5 innings and lasted until after 9pm.

I actually was keeping the books so these pictures came from friends.

Olivia up to bat...see me on the far left?  It was cold and rainy outside.

Love to watch her play.

Coach (aka Daddy) giving instructions to Olivia.

And she slides into home...she's safe!

Emma sliding into home...also safe!

Since the girls are playing Majors this year there is no time limit on the games...they will be playing 5 innings no matter how long it takes...unless it gets to dark to see; Deer Park is the only field with lights so there's a chance other games might get cut short.

Game 2 Mariners

Marcus had another game last night.  I got there just in time for his first at bat.

This time he got on first.

He stole to second.

Now he's on third.

Sliding into home...he scores!

He's up to bat again.

And off he goes...he is doing so awesome this year...so fun to watch!

Baseball Season

Marcus also had his first game on Saturday.  He's on the Minors Mariners team.

Marcus played center field just like Olivia.

All the Mariners lined up for hitting.

Marcus was up first.

Go Marcus!

He did so well...unfortunately he struck out but he gave it his all.

The girls stuck around to cheer their brothers on.

Marcus up to bat again.

Lookin' good buddy!

After the games Marc tried out one of his player's hoverboard.  The girls got quite a kick out of that.  He said it's not as easy as it looks.

We celebrated the start of our season at the Salty Dog...a great way to end a great day!

I Love Softball and Baseball Season!!!

Softball Season is Here!

The girls had their first game Saturday.  Olivia started out in center field.

Emma's up to bat.

She is getting so big!

She got a walk and stole every base...she scored too!  I would have gotten a great picture of it if it wasn't for the fence...the camera focused nicely on the fence so Emma was just a blur.

Emma played 2nd base.

Olivia's up to bat.  She is getting so big too!

Here comes the pitch...see the ball?

Emma up to bat again.

There's Olivia.  I had to keep books so I really didn't get too many pictures.  I sat right behind the catcher so these at bat shots were my best bet.

Marc is coaching the girls again.  This year they are playing in the Majors.

They are the Mud Dogs again this year.

Don't you love their uniforms...they look sharp!

Easter Fun

We invited some friends over on Saturday for some egg dying fun.  Cole, Marcus, Emma, Olivia and Bree were ready to be creative.

Emma's got her eggs and dye.

Olivia is pretty excited.

Marcus has 2 eggs going at once.

Cutie.

Pretty purple...we just used food coloring in water and a little vinegar for ours.

This is one of Bree's; they used the kits and full vinegar for their eggs.

Marcus has a 2-toned egg...can you see the yellow on top and blue on bottom?

These are Bree's eggs...so pretty.

The girls are creative.

The boys did have a lot of fun.

All the girls showing off their best eggs.

The finished eggs...so pretty!

Great job kids!

It was a late night so the kids got to sleep in.  The Easter Bunny came while we all slept!

They got some cool stuff.

They each got a color art book, colored pencils, silly string, a flower to plant, a movie, chapstick and some candy.

Marcus loved his basket.

The Easter Bunny hid eggs around the house too.  They were filled with candy.  They started by the front door and then ran through the house to find the eggs.  It was a success!  Lots of fun!

Happy Easter Everyone!
