The girls decided to plan their own friend birthday party. We started off with them decorating their own cakes. Olivia chose bright pink for her cake.
She worked really hard on decorating it.
Emma chose lime green and purple for hers.
She worked equally hard at decorating.
Emma's masterpiece!
Love it!
Olivia's masterpiece.
Love it too!
There's a lot of pride in those cakes.
They even picked out the decorations and decorated. We put a pillow case at each place and fabric markers in the middle for the party craft. The birthday sign is from a few years ago purchased by Nana and used every year!
They got some balloons and placed them behind the couch...clever and cute! I think we may have some party planners.
Marcus got his room ready too :-)
Sidney and Allison were first to arrive. They played 4-square as they waited for the others.
When everyone arrived they started with decorating pillow cases. That gave me time to make the taco dinner.
After dinner the kids played out in our field for a while then came back in for present time.
The girls got some great stuff...I love how now that they are 10 one of their friends can make the list of who got them what...so much easier for me :-)
We did a quick group photo. Malia, Olivia, Marcus, Sidney (behind), Emma, Lexie and Allison.
The girls got silly string as one of their gifts so everyone wanted to see a silly string battle.
They are highly competitive!
It went on for a while...everyone was laughing hysterically!
I think Olivia may have won that battle...
Emma wanted numbers for her candles.
Olivia wanted 10 bright candles.
Twins...but oh so different! We sang Happy Birthday.
Emma blew hers out right away...Olivia thought long and hard about her wish...then out they went.
Here's how the pillowcases turned out.
Another picture from a different angle...I think they turned out so cute!
Then it was time for Orange Crush and Root beer Floats! Allison had an Orange Crush float...look at that foam!
Olivia was the only one who had Root beer!
Emma made the perfect float!
What a cute group! They did not actually even have any cake; the floats filled them up.
We ended the night with Zootopia and popcorn. Most of the girls hadn't seen Zootopia yet so it was a great choice.
I think the girls got about 1 hour of sleep...but they had a blast and after all isn't that what slumber parties are all about?

What a great way to celebrate a twin 10! I love how you are encouraging the twins creativity. The party looks amazing, absolutely love the decorations, cakes and the awesome pillowcases. I also love that Marcus was included in some of the party!
