Birthday Weekend at Priest Lake

We were invited to Priest Lake this weekend for Javin's birthday.  We arrived Friday night just in time for dinner. 

The girls took out the kayaks after dinner. The neighbors had the most adorable little puppy...we had Rebel with us and she just wanted to play with the puppy.  The girls kept them at a safe distance. The kyaks were very popular. It was over 100 degrees so Rebel and the kids spent a lot of time in the water.

The birthday party theme was GI Joe. The kids were seprated into teams and had to compete in an obstacle course. First they ran through the tires. Then army crawl. The dads blasted them with water as they ran through. Next the grenade launch.  Marc and Michael held on tight as the kids launched the grenades. The goal was to hit the trampoline...they did a great job. Then they just had a grenade fight...these were water balloons so very fun. Next was the missile launch. Then the tug of war. It was girls against boys...girls lost. Then they climbed the slide and jumped down. They swam to the trampoline and jumped off. Next was present and cake time...the cake was amazing!

After the party the kids walked to "the bridge".  After about an hour, Marc and I walked down to see what it was all about. The kids jumped off this bridge...it was not very high and the creek underneath was shallow. I got a photo of all the kids.  Marcus, Cole, Javin and Lexie in front with Molly and Candy (the dogs) Emma, Olivia and Bri in back.  Cole, Javin, Lexie and Bri are cousins and the lake place we are all at is their grandparents place. 

It got really smokey Saturday night from all the area fires. In the morning the girls were up early wanting to ride the wave runner. Marcus was the first to ride. Michele was nice enough to take all the kids on a morning ride. Thanks Michele! Thanks for the great weekend too!
