T-ball 2014

This is our last year of t-ball.  Marc asked the photographer to do a photo with the bats this year.  So cute!

What a team!  We had 13 kids!  We also had parents request these two stud coaches this year too.  And new parents have complimented them and said they want to follow these coaches wherever they go.  Couldn't be more proud!  Next year it's coach pitch!  Wow, how time flies.

Spring Concert

Thursday was the Spring Concert at the school.  The kindergartners were up first.

Look how cute they are!

They sang really well and had lots of actions of course.

The 1st graders went next and then it was the 2nd graders.  I could see Emma pretty well.

Sing Emma Sing.

Here are all of the 2nd graders...Olivia was hiding behind the teacher most of the time.  You can see a glimpse of her just over his right shoulder.

Hi Olivia!

They sang very well.  The theme was about being healthy and taking care of the earth.  They sang about brushing their teeth and eating right.  This was a K - 2nd grade concert.  At the end all the kids did a rap song about recycling.  It was so cute!

Ryder and Marcus.  They went straight to recess so I didn't really get to see them after.

Olivia and Emma went back to class so I snuck in and took some quick pictures.

They wanted to do their rap pose for me.

Mrs Sweeney wanted a picture too.  Mrs Sweeney is a helper at the school and the kids all love her.  It was a great concert all around.  Hard to believe the school year is almost over!

2nd Grade Track Meet

Yesterday was the girls' track meet.  They both ran the 400.  Olivia went in the first heat.  She was actually injured but ran her best.

Emma ran in the second heat and won her race.  It was a tight race between her and Lexie but Emma did it.

Olivia was upset that she was hurt but Emma was there to make her feel better.  What a good sister.  Emma was pumped and ready for the final race...Olivia didn't qualify.

Javin, Emma, Malia, Lexie and Olivia waiting for the finals.

Sadly the "twin" thing messed up the teacher and Olivia ended up in the final when Emma was really supposed to be there.  Emma was super upset and Olivia was too.  Neither one of them said anything until it was too late though.  I was sad for both, but unfortunately I wasn't paying attention and couldn't do anything about it.  Lexie ended up winning...Emma had beat her the race before.  The teacher promised to make it up to Emma though and just said "Sorry, I always mess those two up!"

In the field events Emma did the long jump...here she gets her running start.

Jump Emma Jump!

Then she came over with me to cheer on Olivia.

Olivia did the ball throw.

Winding up to throw.

Nice throw Olivia.

Overall both girls did very well...I was very proud of them especially for how they handled themselves when the teacher made a mistake.  I think they are used to it though because Emma's comment was "the only person that doesn't mess us up is the lunch lady"...being a twin is tough!

Hiking and more fun

Good Morning Girls...how's breakfast?

Good Morning Boys...ready for the day?

We went for a hike on the property on Sunday morning.  There's the lake behind the kids.

It was a great hike...lots to see.

The kids wanted to pose on this log.  So cute!

We decided it made a great family photo spot.  First the Oergel's.

Next the Bradeen's

We found another cool family photo spot.  Kristin got some with her camera too, but I think my phone did pretty well.

Marcus collected walking sticks and gave everyone one to help during the hike.

Emma picked flowers along the way.

Olivia got a cool walking stick.

When we got back, the girls and Kaydin got to go on the boat for some fishing.

Tim, Ryan's Dad, was the captain this time...Ryan and Kristin went along too.

Marc did some widdling on the walking stick.

When they were done fishing, Kristin set the kids up for some rock painting.

Hi Olivia...are you being creative?

It was pretty messy...but oh so fun!

The girls gathered flowers and made vases out of water jugs.

They made one for me, Kristin, Ryan's Mom and Kaydin's aunt...all the ladies at the campsite.  This morning the made cups full of leaves for all the guys.  The note on the leaves said "Leaves are cool and so are you; You work hard and we love you...love Kaydin, Emma and Olivia".  What sweet girls we have!  I love it!

Kaydin Arrives

Kaydin started out the weekend with the flu so she didn't come until late Saturday.  We were so glad to see her!

Father Daughter moment...how sweet is this?

Fish on!  this never got old!

Olivia loved every minute...she kept wanting to know when we were going to eat them though.  We did throw most back, but kept a few to eat.

It wouldn't be camping without s'mores...yummy!

Mmmmm....good.

The kids roasted for everyone.

Emma loves s'mores.

One quick silly picture before bed...tomorrow's another big day!
