Olivia turned 6 yesterday...she picked Hello Kitty as the theme of her party. Here she is with her cake! She was so excited for her birthday...she was almost a broken record yesterday saying "I'm so excited today is my birthday!" I've never seen someone so excited for their birthday.
Emma also turned 6 yesterday...here she is with her beautiful cake. She was pretty excited too. However she was a little irritated with her sister saying "my" birthday. Emma often corrected her letting her know it was "our" birthday! Too funny!
The birthday girls. Nana made the adorable cakes of course. They were a hit once again as all Nana cakes are!
Marcus handled this birthday well again. He sure is a trooper being the only kid in the family not celebrating a birthday. The party was at 4:30 and around 3:00 Marcus disappeared. I went down to his room and noticed his door closed. I opened it and found a sleeping Marcus. We had to wake him up for the party...he was tired!
This year's giveaway gifts were stepping stones. As the kids arrived, they each got to make a stepping stone. That activity was a big hit too. We had lots of kids and each stepping stone was very unique. It was fun to see the different imaginations around the group.
Marcus was not too left out. Several of our guests were nice enough to bring Marcus gifts too. He was pretty excited.
My good friend, Crystal came to the party too. Here is her little guy who will have his 1st birthday next weekend! We had a great turnout overall...around 50 people total. All our good friends and some family members made this a wonderful party!
The girls requested a pinata this year too. They just love to hit those pinatas. Olivia went first...she hit it hard but it didn't quite break.
Marcus gave it his all...every kid had a turn and the last kid, Zach (10 years old...refer to Monster Truck post to see his birthday) finally broke it and spilled the candy all over the place. All the kids got a handful of candy. It was a success!
The girls got lots of cool gifts from everyone. Olivia did her usual ohing and ahhing over every gift. She showed everything off to everyone as she opened them.
Emma took it all in too but did her usual as well. She got through the gift opening at a rapid pace and was done in record time. Such different girls!
Cake time...one last picture, then we sang Happy Birthday and they attempted to blow out the candles (the wind did most of the blowing beforehand though). We had great weather (rain was in the forecast and we woke up to rain too) and amazing guests. Another perfect party!
