Gramie, Poppi, Nana and Papa with the kids. We got a great spot at the 4th of July parade this year. The guys pulled the trucks up in a parking lot and we just camped out there.
We grabbed one of Mom's (aka Nana) umbrellas from her yard and tied it to a parking meter...it made the perfect shade; we looked like pros for sure! Honestly, it was all by accident too. There were no plans or preparations made for this.
They handed out free flags so everyone had one! Perfect!
Emma had her spot picked out from the start and didn't move from it for majority of the parade.
Marc had his spot picked out too :-)
The parade started with the military...Jared was in it too! It was 90+ degrees out there! He must have been HOT.
The airplanes and helicopters flew by again this year. They were so close you could even see them wave at us!
Poppi made sure Marcus didn't eat too much candy.
Jared found us after he was done marching in the parade...he said that he was definitely hot.
Those are my girls hugging that chipmunk! What brave girls.
They were so excited. They had a blast. It was a perfect parade; didn't last too long and had just enough candy too (which was left behind in Nana's pantry).

Thanks guys for coming for the 4th. It was a blast. Jared said that it isn't often that he gets to spend time with family and loved every minute of it. Post is great!!
