St Paddy's Day Parade
Jordan (the groom from the August wedding the kids were in) was asked to drive one of the Avista trucks in the St Paddy's Day parade this weekend. He asked Marc if the kids could go to. They got matching shirts with Avista's mascot on them. They were all so excited.
We drove to Avista and the kids got to tour the "yard" to see all the trucks Daddy drives. It was fun to see where Marc goes to start his day every day. The kids stood in front of the double bucket truck for a picture. This is the truck they got to ride in during the parade.
Marc, Jordan and Marcus went to wash the truck while the girls and I waited with Kallie and the other Avista people that were going on the truck. They had decorations for the truck and Olivia wanted to try the cute green hat.
All clean...ready to go. I did take a picture with Jordan in it too but it didn't turn out. So, here is Kallie and an Avista employee along with three very excited kids.
Here they are driving out of the yard. Can you see the three smiling faces in the cab?
Marc and I actually found some friends to hang out with at the bar. Jordan called us right as they were driving by. Marc and I literally ran out to wave to them. I snapped a couple of pictures but they were cruising right along so this one and the next were the only two I really got. If you look really close at the next picture you can see Marcus' little face peering out the back window.
They were done by 1:30 so I met them back at the yard and home we went. They had a ton of fun; they loved waving at all the people. Emma and Olivia did mention a few times that they wished they could dress up like princesses though and be on a float. Oh the dreams of little girls...Marcus was perfectly content riding in a big double bucket truck...a little boy's dream come true! Thanks Jordan and Kallie for taking such good care of them and thanks so much for thinking of including them too. They will remember this forever!

Wow, what a great experience for the kids. They looked like they were having a ball.
How fun for the kids and Jorden! The truck looks great - love the green hat Olivia! I'm glad they were able to have this opportunity.
Ah the luck of the Irish :) What a fun day!!
