Lessons Learned

Last night while I was cleaning the kitchen the girls were playing quietly in their room (not unusual for these two). Then suddenly they ran into the bathroom and this is how the conversation went:

Olivia: "Emma, it's not coming off!"
Emma: "Oh No! I knew we shouldn't have done this!"
Olivia: "I really think we need to get Mom."
Emma: "Oh No, Oh No..."
Olivia: "Mom, you need to come here...really, you do."

So I went into the bathroom to find Emma standing by the sink with a washcloth to her face and a very worried look in her eyes. I had her lower the wash cloth and saw the beautiful cat face drawn by her sister with marker...and not the washable kind. When asked what they were doing I was told they were pretending it was Halloween and Emma wanted to be a cat. Guess I should have seen this one coming. After the lecture of never writing on someone with markers and some heavy scrubbing Emma still ended up with whiskers on her face. I assured Emma they would eventually wear off but for now she is going to have to wear that kitty face with a smile.

I remember a "Friends" episode this happened on. Lucky for Emma she's only 4! Cute little kitty face.

Love it! ! I caught Ainsley painting what I can only describe as clown town on her face. Luckily they were washable markers.
