We decided to carve the pumpkins this morning. Marcus started but surprisingly didn't want to get messy. He used his spoon the entire time to clean out the seeds.

Emma started with two spoons but then decided getting dirty wasn't so bad after all.

Olivia wasn't actually interested in this project at first. When we finally got her to participate she also decided to forgo the spoon and just dig in with her hands.

The
kids each told me how they wanted their pumpkins to look. Olivia even drew a picture of a cute little smiley face for me and told me that was how she wanted it.

Olivia, Emma, Marcus. Olivia wanted a smiley face, Emma wanted a scary face and Marcus started out wanting scary but by the time we got to the
mouth he wanted happy.

Those little pumpkins actually had a lot of seeds! I was surprised. They have been roasted and will be eaten after naps I'm sure (I've already tested them and they are quite tasty).
