The Falls (well some of them)

(UPDATE): I meant to put this picture in this post but originally forgot it. I had to update since I made such a huge deal out of getting this group picture of everyone...you know how it goes...they all roll their eyes but in the end everyone is glad we took it :-)

We started the 4th of July by driving to one of the 7 falls that Great Falls, MT is known for. You have to cross this foot bridge to get to an island to see the beautiful falls.

These are just one of the falls Lewis and Clark ran into during their trip across the river. Pretty impressive.

Auntie Tavein was with us; she actually goes rafting down the river around here from time to time.

It was a beautiful day on the island. The weather was a little cool; it was a lot of fun to watch the kids run around. They actually have weddings here (my Mom just made a cake for a wedding that was here last Thursday). It makes a beautiful site for a wedding.

The girls had a lot of fun racing around the island too. Go Emma...I think she's got her!

On our way back to Nana and Papa's house, we stopped to look at another set of falls.

Marcus thought they were pretty cool.

Looks like the next time I throw the dart at the map for a vacation Great Falls might be a destination! Gorgeous
