Happy New Year!

Decorations went down today. Marcus did really well with the tree this year; we only had to tell him a handful of times to "Move away from the tree!" I decided I needed to get at least one photo of him in the tree (literally) before taking it down.
Our New Year's was spent celebrating with friends. Sadly I did not take one picture on New Year's Eve...can you believe that? Me not taking pictures??? We did have one of our friends, the Cunningham's, stay at our house though because the roads were super icy and they live across town about an hour away. So, I got some pictures the next day to document the memory of our wonderful New Year's with friends. Here is their youngest, Zach; you might remember him from earlier in April when I introduced him a few days after he was born..he's so big now!

The Cunningham's ended up staying all day yesterday. There was a lot of artwork done.

And the kids even got to play outside for a little while. It was cold and very wet though.

But they didn't care. Here's Emma sliding down the slide for the 15th time...she was soaked!

Marcus loves the outdoors and has never seemed to mind the cold. He's the perfect winter baby.

Even Maddy braved the cold (actually she was the one who initiated this). It was such a pleasure having Maddy there; she helped with everything from her baby brother to the little kids to peeling potatoes for dinner.

Here is the perfect example of how wet it was outside. Miraculously, none of the kids had wet clothes; those snowsuits worked pretty well.
Hope everyone had a Happy New Year's. We actually made it to midnight on New Year's too. That's the first time for me in the last 3 years! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
