Back to reality

Sadly, the weekend came to an end and we had to go. This morning we did see sun for the first time this weekend though. Marcus was so happy to be outside again. Can you tell?
The kids threw some sticks for the dogs and had a great time by the river behind Raymond's house.

And Emma ended the weekend back to her little old self...healthy and happy. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Thanks again to all the hospitality we received this weekend! We love you all!!!

Getaway

Uncle Raymond basically gave us his place this weekend. His sweet girlfriend, Melissa was a gracious hostess. She made a ton of food and she is so great with the kids...they absolutely love her (and so do we!!!).
It was pretty nice...we had a lot of time to just veg out and relax. I can't think of anything better than spending time with the kids!

Poor little Emma was not feeling well most of the weekend. She started with a fever Thursday and it continued on throughout the weekend. She was pretty pampered though...we bought her this princess airbed and Marc and Raymond packed her around so she didn't have to move much...look at that sweet face...poor baby.

Melissa taught the girls how to file their nails this weekend too. She filed Olivia's and the next thing I knew, Olivia was in the bathroom with her baby (aka glowworm) filing away...how cute is that!?!

Turkey Day

We had a rough start to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Our plan was to head to Ellensburg and stay the night Weds then get up early and head to Maple Valley. However, Marc ended up working overtime (until 2am!) so we couldn't leave until Thursday. That meant driving all the way to Maple Valley in one day...with two 2-year olds that are newly potty trained...

Actually, it wasn't so bad. We made it and had a wonderful dinner at Auntie Kimmie's and Uncle Colby's house. The girls got to spend quality time with their cousins Sophie and Ceci...it was so much fun to watch them play. They are really starting to play well together now.

Marcus is still a little too young so he didn't get to play outside with the "big" kids...it was quite cold and rainy, so I made him stay indoors. Marcus is the biggest outdoors boy you'll ever meet...so it killed him to have to stay inside...just look at that face ;-)
But it all got better when we had a little early birthday celebration for Marcus. He got some great gifts and loved the attention.
And of course there was pumpkin pie!!! Olivia dug into that! All the food was "wonderful" as Emma would say (that's her new word...it's pretty cute to hear her say it). Thanks so much Kimmie and Colby!

Opps...

Marc was in charge of baths tonight. While he was getting the girls undressed he heard a splash...there was Marcus, head in the water and fully clothed. He didn't even cry. I think we have another water baby :-)

Relaxing

We didn't do too much this weekend. Marc started to clean up the property a little bit before it snows. He had some good little helpers too. They helped stack the cardboard for this spectacular fire...
They thought it was pretty cool. And I thought just the boys were attracted to stuff like this...I guess when you are Daddy's girls, you like this stuff too :-)
Grami and Poppi came over for a quick visit. Grami entertained little Marcus with his latest favorite activity. He was bringing books to her and loving every minute of their time reading.
We were sad to see Grami and Poppi leave. The kids stood by the window waving until they could no longer see their car. Marcus stretched his little head as far as it would go. Precious!

Complete

They say twins sometimes complete each other's sentences...how about this...pretty cute if I do say so myself :-)

Fall Fun

The girls found their bubbles this morning, so I promised we would play with them today.
Emma was a bubble blowing machine!
Marcus was introduced to all the leaves on the ground. This is his first Fall Season.
He thought they were pretty cool. He was crawling all around and throwing them up in the air. Surprisingly, he didn't even try to eat one! I can't wait to see him in the snow! It's cold enough out there...I think the snow is just around the corner.

Don't Tell Daddy

We've been home sick Friday and today. Here's what we've been up too...
I couldn't resist. Good thing the girls got three strollers for their birthday. They even let Marcus have the twin stroller and the twin babies!
He made sure they were well taken care of too. What a good Daddy...Marc is going to kill me :-)
Actually, Marcus is probably going to kill me some day for this post :-) Too cute!

Yum!

It rained all day so we decided to try a new kind of cookie. I got this great cookie cook book from Tracy for my birthday and decided it was finally time to try it out. The girls got their bakers hats and aprons (thanks Nana) on and were ready to help...they have really started to love baking...

...possibly because of the taste testing??? :-)

Here is the finished product...they turned out pretty tasty...sort of like an oreo.

I just had to share this cute picture of Marcus. He has become quite the messy eater lately. I had to give him a bath after breakfast and after dinner. He does love to eat though. He ate twice as much at dinner as to the girls tonight...I guess they did have a few cookies today though.

Results are in!

No, I'm not talking about the election results...I'm talking about Marcus' 11 month doctor appointment. He has been so healthy, he hasn't been to the doctor since his 6 month visit so I was very curious about where he was on the growth charts. He is weighing in at 21 lbs now (25th %) and he is 29 inches long (50th %). So far, he is staying pretty consistent and the doctor said he looks great!

As promised, here is a little video of his attempt at walking lately. This was actually from this weekend...he's doing so great and getting better and better each day.

Oh...that scream at the end is Olivia...just a regular noise that comes out of her...nothing to be concerned about :-)

11 Months Old

I can hardly believe it...our baby boy is 11 months old! He is currently cutting new teeth and walking pretty well for the most part. He stands from a seated position on his own really well. He says "Mama, Dada and Boo". He has his 11 month doctor appointment tomorrow so we'll see how much he weighs and all that good stuff. I'll post an update tomorrow night...maybe I'll even do a video of our little walker tomorrow...stay tuned!
