Getting Bigger

The girls have been getting braver on the slide lately. Tonight they decided to try going down head first.
"Fun Mommy" (I made them stop shortly after...a little scary for Mommy...)
They do love each other...

They had their 2 year doctor appointment this afternoon. Olivia is 25 lbs (25%) and 34 3/4 inches tall (75%)...so still tall and lean. Emma is 23 lbs (also 25%) and 32 3/4 inches tall (50%). Olivia continues to outgrow Emma...I still can't believe she was the smaller of the two when they were born. I heard someone once say if you double their height at age 2, you can get an idea of how tall they will be as an adult. So if we round up...that puts Olivia close to 5'10" and Emma at around 5'6". I'm curious to see how true that really is. Only time will tell :-)

Water Baby

It was 100 degrees out today! Emma was in her element playing in the water. She helped to fill the pool...
She tried out one of the new sprinklers she got for her birthday...
Another dip in the pool...she was in there so long, she was shivering when she came out.
Olivia was more into relaxing by the pool than getting wet :-) Two very different girls..

Hoopfest

If you like basketball, this is the place to be! This weekend is Hoopfest...the largest 3 on 3 basketball tournament in the nation. We decided to take the kids downtown to watch our friend Payton (just turned 11 today!) play.

We brought some lunch and ate in the park before Payton's game.

Olivia was trying her hardest to get away and find a basketball. She actually did get her hands on one and Marc had to take it away from her. She really wanted to play...she followed everyone around that had a basketball.

Even little Marcus enjoyed some lunch. We are starting to introduce the sippy cup...he does pretty well actually.

Payton's game

We let the girls out of their stroller during Payton's game. Emma asked if she could play basketball too...I think we might be watching these kids play here sometime in the near future.

Payton's court was right in front of Avista...could this be a sign??? Hopefully Daddy's future employer???

Marcus just loves the front pack. He is getting a little heavy for it, but it still works!

Here is Payton right in the middle (has the ball...blue shorts). You can sort see how everything is set up in this picture. Basically they turn all of downtown into 3 on 3 courts. They shut down all the streets for two days. It is quite amazing and a lot of fun. However, it is almost always the hottest weekend in June...today was over 90 and I heard on the radio tomorrow is supposed to be close to 100! UGH!

Dinner with Friends

We had dinner at Jack Sr's house tonight with our friends from Sweeden.
Noah and Marcus had a good time playing.

The kids played all sorts of games.
Isabella was a big help...she fed Marcus his whole dinner!

Olivia was also a big help keeping Noah entertained :-)

"Mom, Look!"

The kids even got ice cream...YUMMY! Unfortunately Isabella and Noah are going back home to Sweeden on Tuesday. We hope to do something this weekend with them. Next time we see them, little Noah and Marcus will be walking and talking! Where does the time go?

30 & a New House!

Kimmie & Colby had their 30th Birthday/Open House Party this weekend. They just moved into a beautiful new house. It was a great party. The kids started out with bubble blowing...

Sophia had some cousin bonding time with Marcus.

The cousins had a lot of bonding time at the party...Thank goodness for Auntie Tracy...otherwise, we wouldn't have had so many activities to do! She is always so good about that.

We found a Park...

Auntie Tracy also showed us a park not to far from Kimmie & Colby's house.

The kids had a blast playing together. It was so much fun to watch them all interact.

Olivia even spent some time taking Marcus around in the wagon...such a good big sister :-)

Back to the Party

As always, Uncle Raymond was a great help with the kids.

Emma Loves her Auntie Tracy :-)

Grami & Poppi got in a few hugs.
And there they are...the hosts of the wonderful party. Thanks Kimmie & Colby...we had a great time and your house is beautiful! Happy 30th to both of you too!

We stayed at Raymond's

We spent the night at Raymond's house. He was a gracious host...I took his room with the kids...Marc took his spare room and Raymond slept on a cot in his living room...Thanks Raymond!

Look what Raymond gave the twins for their birthday!

Another Great Weekend

Emma found flowers at Raymond's house.

I'm not sure what they were planning with the hose, but I'm sure they were up to no good :-)
Overall...another great weekend. They are so short though. The kids were definately exhausted.
