Vantage

We did not do a big trip for spring break this year.  We did decide to go see Gramie and Poppie though since they have been away for 3 months!  We stopped in Vantage on our way.  We tried to check out the petrified forest exhibits...starting with the petrified tree trunk.

There were dinosaurs too!

Pretty cool.

Olivia posing like the dinosaur.

Marcus looks fierce!

Where is all the water???

Can you see how low the river is?  The dam has a crack in it so they shut it all down and the river is so low!  Everything is closed off though...this is the boat docks...can you believe it...no water!  Crazy.  Just last year we were swimming out there where all that sand is!  Hope they fix that dam soon...it's just not the same without all the water.

Happy Birthday Nana & Papa

Nana and Papa stopped by this weekend on their way to England.  Nana's birthday was Friday and Papa's birthday was Saturday so we made them a cake!

Happy Birthday Nana & Papa!

Which One?

Time for a birthday invite to be made...which picture should we use?

Spring Break

We officially started Spring Break on Thursday.  The weather was beautiful!  The kids spent most of their time outside.  They played hard...then they called me to show me something.  First they jumped up and down.

Then they started their formation.

Ta Da!

Marcus' Basketball Pictures

Last night we had Marcus' basketball party to celebrate a great season.  We got their team and individual pictures.  So handsome.

Here's the team.

Front: Nash, Dillon, Ryan, Marcus

Middle:  Jacob, Porter, Zack, Chase, Owen

Back:  Coach Lou and Coach Nate

What a great team and season!

This group was so fun to watch!

Can't wait until next year!

Art Birthday Party

We celebrated Kaydin's 7th birthday this weekend with an Art Party!  We got to the party and there were canvases ready for paint.  Marcus and Cruz were together on a table.

The other kids painted on canvases that were nailed to a large easel.  Emma's working on her masterpiece.

Olivia was right at home...she loves art.

Olivia's masterpiece.

Olivia put her hand print on the wall.

Marcus put up his hand print too.

Emma finished her masterpiece.

And put up her hand print too.

So cute!  I just love this!

Here's the cake....it was made by a local store called "Sweet Frostings".  It was delicious.

Paint brush rice krispy treats.

Homemade Pizza!  YUM!

All the kids showing us the big 7!

Happy 7th Birthday Kaydin!

Homework

Marcus was doing his homework last week while I was cleaning the kitchen.  I checked his work and he wanted to draw while I finished the kitchen...I didn't realize he was drawing on the back of his homework.  I just had to share this...he said he needed to decorate his homework for his teacher (Mrs. Fissler-Jones).  The 1001 in the corner tells you the leprechaun's age.  The number 16 is his homework number and of course he has the date written down just like he is supposed to.  Nice job Marcus!

Almost Done

Basketball season is winding down.  We only have one game left!  The girls have come a long way.  Here is Olivia as point guard.

Emma on defense...such a good little defender.

Olivia looks so comfortable with the ball now.

Emma going for the loose ball...getting more aggressive.

Emma shoots!  She scores!

Olivia shoots!  She scores too!

They are having a blast and said they are sad it's coming to an end.  So glad this was a good experience.  We will be back again next season for sure!  We even started clearing off our outdoor basketball court at the house so they can all practice.

Pictures

Last week was team pictures for basketball.  We had the first game so our pictures were after our game.  The line was so long that several parents did not want to stay so we decided to wait until this week and take our own.  The first was a fun one.

Here is the team...Emma, Olivia, Cadence, Chloe, Sara, Gracie and Coach Mary.

Twins!

Marcus did get the professional pictures done at his game so we'll be seeing those soon.
