Empty Nest

Marc drove with Emma to Jamestown ND and got her settled in at University of Jamestown this weekend. I accompanied Olivia to California and got her moved in to her new apartment at Cal Lu. Olivia and I also checked in on Marcus. He got to show off his athletic facilities to Olivia, he was quite proud. Marc and Emma did a better job of sight seeing and picture taking than we did. We mainly did grocery shopping and moving in all weekend. Marc flew back from Bismarck and I flew back from Burbank on Sunday and our planes landed in Spokane at exactly the same time. That marked the start of our empty nesting phase. The house is quiet for now…can’t wait until they come home for Thanksgiving. 

Another Birthday

Marc celebrated another birthday yesterday. It was a fairly relaxed day with several friends stopping by to celebrate him. The kids did their cute instagram posts and we had an amazing salmon dinner and cheesecake. Happy birthday Marc!!!

 

Spokane Indians Game

We had tickets for Spokane Indians tonight so invited some friends and had a blast. Quick family photo to start…we missed Marcus of course. 

 

Book Club in CDA

We visited Brenda’s Coeur d’Alene cabin for our latest book club adventure. We had an amazing brunch then headed out for a kayak trip. Afterward Brenda’s husband took us on the boat to Shooters for lunch. It was amazing. Our book was “Sold” which was a hard read but overall well written. Can’t wait for our next adventure in October!

 

A quick visit

Marcus had a 5 day break so we flew him home for a quick visit. We had concert tickets to a few shows and were able to get Marcus tickets too. We saw Gavin Adcock at the Spokane Pavilion and Koe Wetzel at Northern Quest. The Singers went to Gavin Adcock and Collin had the extra Koe Wetzel ticket for Marcus. It was so great to all be together again. 

 

Chris Stapleton

We had a blast watching Chris Stapleton at the Gorge. What a beautiful night!

 

Midweek fun

There is an event venue near our house that has  Weds night market, dinner and outdoor movies. Olivia won a table for 10 off of an instagram post she did the week before. She invited a few friends and us! It was a blast. 

 

Cheney Rodeo

I just love rodeo season!  We had a great time at the Cheney Rodeo with Justin and Ashley. The girls had a blast too.  

 

Happy Birthday America

We spent another 4th at Deer Lake. The girls participated in the parade…lots of fun!
