Marcus’s college drop off

We have quite the story to tell about Marcus’s college drop off. We started at 5 AM on Wednesday June 17th. The girls were sweet and woke up to say goodbye and Margaret even came over that early to say her goodbyes. Marc, Marcus and I drove halfway on Wednesday and then the rest of the way on Thursday (20 hours total)!  We were told Marcus could move into his new apartment on Saturday.  We decided to check out the apartments on Friday and learned that check-in was maybe Sunday. We decided to call the leasing company to see if we could get him in Saturday since we were supposed to fly out early Sunday. That’s when we found out the applications weren’t even approved yet! I decided to stick around and figure it out and Marc flew home on Sunday as planned. After losing my plane ticket (nonrefundable), Having to pay for hotel rooms and paying for meals we finally sorted it out and he moved in Thursday, June 25. What a week! He did start football on Monday and is loving every minute. His new apartment is pretty cool and he’s living with five other football guys. They’re actually a lot of football players in the apartment complex so it feels a little bit like an athletic dorm situation. I’m so happy because that is how I wanted Marcus to start his college career. I did love spending the extra time with Marcus and getting a glimpse into his new world. He’s gonna do awesome and I’m excited to hear all about it. ❤️

 

Sandpoint get together

We got together for family dinner in Sandpoint today. Sophie and Ceci are on a sister trip in Boston so weren’t able to join. Hard to believe how big all the kids are getting. ❤️

I was spoiled for my birthday. I love my family. 

 

Grad Party

Marcus's grad party was today! The girls and my mom helped with the decorations and food prep. Everything turned out amazing...even with only 5 hours of sleep due to senior all nighter chaporone duties. So many friends and family came to congratulate Marcus, we are so fortunate for all those in our lives. I tried to get pictures of everyone. The girls ran the photo booth area and made sure everyone signed Marcus's book. It was an overall success! Congratulations Marcus!
