Book club bike ride

We met up in the Valley and rode bikes along the Centennial Trail to Liberty Lake for book club today. Only 3 of us could make this one but it was a blast and a beautiful day!  We read ‘Born to be Hanged’, sort or a history book about gentlemen buccaneers. Not my favorite but interesting enough. 

 

Mt SAC Football

Marcus finally shared some college football photos. He’s grey shirting this season so only gets to practice with the team. He looks pretty good if I do say so myself. 

 

A day in the forest

Marc and I traveled to Thorpe WA to check out the area he was drawn for hunting. We hiked about 5 miles looking for elk. We did not see any animals but the weather and scenery was beautiful.

 

Labor Day in Great Falls

Marc and I went to Great Falls for Labor Day weekend this year. We got to hang out with Taylor and her adorable family and spend time with mom and dad. We went to Havre to watch Taylor’s husband’s college team play and even stopped by Fort Benton. This blog was very helpful in reminding us the last time we were in Fort Benton..July of 2011! Mom did a family dinner on Sunday so we got to see almost everyone. It was great to catch up. 

 

Empty Nest

Marc drove with Emma to Jamestown ND and got her settled in at University of Jamestown this weekend. I accompanied Olivia to California and got her moved in to her new apartment at Cal Lu. Olivia and I also checked in on Marcus. He got to show off his athletic facilities to Olivia, he was quite proud. Marc and Emma did a better job of sight seeing and picture taking than we did. We mainly did grocery shopping and moving in all weekend. Marc flew back from Bismarck and I flew back from Burbank on Sunday and our planes landed in Spokane at exactly the same time. That marked the start of our empty nesting phase. The house is quiet for now…can’t wait until they come home for Thanksgiving. 

Another Birthday

Marc celebrated another birthday yesterday. It was a fairly relaxed day with several friends stopping by to celebrate him. The kids did their cute instagram posts and we had an amazing salmon dinner and cheesecake. Happy birthday Marc!!!

 

Spokane Indians Game

We had tickets for Spokane Indians tonight so invited some friends and had a blast. Quick family photo to start…we missed Marcus of course. 

 

Book Club in CDA

We visited Brenda’s Coeur d’Alene cabin for our latest book club adventure. We had an amazing brunch then headed out for a kayak trip. Afterward Brenda’s husband took us on the boat to Shooters for lunch. It was amazing. Our book was “Sold” which was a hard read but overall well written. Can’t wait for our next adventure in October!

 

A quick visit

Marcus had a 5 day break so we flew him home for a quick visit. We had concert tickets to a few shows and were able to get Marcus tickets too. We saw Gavin Adcock at the Spokane Pavilion and Koe Wetzel at Northern Quest. The Singers went to Gavin Adcock and Collin had the extra Koe Wetzel ticket for Marcus. It was so great to all be together again. 

 

Chris Stapleton

We had a blast watching Chris Stapleton at the Gorge. What a beautiful night!
