Whitworth Football

Our friend, Jake Gaffaney, is playing football at Whitworth so we went to a game on Saturday to watch him. Whitworth won!  Go Bucs!

 

Book club at Green Bluff

I met the girls at Walters Farms to pick apples and talk about Hillbilly Elegy by JD Vance. Interesting book…I’m glad we read it to understand JD Vance a little better. We had a great time and got lots of apples. 

 

Team dinner

Team dinner was at our house tonight. Jennifer Gaffaney tag teamed with me. We had a baked potato bar with chili and all the fixings. We even had cornbread plus cake and ice cream for Kenny’s birthday. Go  Rams!

 

Cornhole tournament

Our friends do an annual cornhole tournament and we were finally able to go this year. They have a theme every year and this year was cowboys and Indianas. We only had cowboy outfits. It was tons of fun!

Cal Lu had their first home football game yesterday. Looks like fun!

 

Top of the world

Emma joined a hiking club at MSU. She shared a picture of yesterday’s hike…so fun!

 

Chicken

Marc wanted to try raising meat birds this year. We started out with 50 and ended up with 23. Today is processing day and I’m so glad Raymond is here to help. Great job boys!  This is not for me. Marc and Marcus got them all cut and vacuum sealed. Freezer is full!

 

First home game

Marcus had his first home game last night. They played a non-league game against East Valley. Marcus was amazing. He had some amazing tackles and blocks and he even blocked a punt! The game started rough with a first half score of 7-13 East Valley but the boys came out with a vengeance and got it to 19-20 towards the end of the game. Unfortunately penalties got the best of them and East Valley scored one last time for a final of 19-27. It was teacher appreciation night and Marcus invited his 6th grade teacher, Mrs Sierchio, to wear his jersey. So cool. Raymond came over for the game too!  I love football!!!!

 

Livestock Judging

Marcus participated in Livestock Judging through FFA at the Spokane Fair. He placed 2nd in his group. Great Job Marcus.

 

MSU Football

Emma attended her first MSU home game yesterday and shared some photos. Looks like she had a blast. 

This is her roommate. So fun!

 

Boating

We met Kenny and Karen in Post Falls and hopped on their boat to Sandpoint. It was beautiful and so much fun!
