Cheering at State

Olivia and a friend drove back to Yakima early this morning to watch the boys second game. Olivia recorded the cheerleaders dance number at halftime.  Campea Photography posted some pictures of the girls too. Emma is having a blast. Unfortunately the boys lost but will still play tomorrow. If they win there is still a chance for 4th place.

Boys WIN

We woke up bright and early (5am) and took a car full of Riverside kids to Yakima to watch the boys State basketball game. Emma was already there with the cheer team. They played at 9am against Royal City. They came out with the WIN!!!  Next game is tomorrow morning.  We will watch that one from home.  Win or loose, they will also play Friday, so we might be heading back then.

Boys basketball at State

The Rams boys basketball team won their first state game last night. This is the first time in 10 years we’ve taken a team to state. Next game is in Yakima on Weds.  Emma was selected as on of six cheerleaders that gets to go. So awesome!  Go Rams!

Girls Trip

Emma, Olivia and Campbell did the GCU Discovery trip together. Emma was checking out the school to see if it is a good fit for her. They watched softball, baseball, men’s volleyball. They stayed in the dorms, attended a class and did a campus tour. The weather was beautiful and they had a great time. Emma liked it but doesn’t sound like it’s on the top of the list.

Rotary Award

The twins were Rotary Students of the month!  The ceremony was today. They got to make a speech and everything. Unfortunately it fell at the same time as Marc’s shoulder surgery so we couldn’t attend. The superintendent sent us pictures though. Marc’s surgery went well, he’s sound asleep and recovering.

Happy Valentines Day

The girls had a Valentine’s Day party with friends. They baked a cake together then went to the boys basketball playoff game and back to the house for pizza and cake. I borrowed this photo from Emma’s instagram. Too cute 🥰

Goodbye Milwaukee

We had a little time this morning before our flight so we walked around downtown, stopped into TJ Maxx and ended at Lake Michigan. Overall this was a great trip even though it was quick.

Hockey

The cousins came down for a hockey game. Layla joined too.

Natalie’s Signing

Natalie signed with Whitworth University today to play softball and invited the Diamonds girls. Sadly Emma couldn’t be there but we are all so proud of Natalie and wish her the best!  Crazy these girls are going to college next year!

Milwaukee WI

Emma and I arrived in Milwaukee yesterday afternoon. Our hotel is in an amazing downtown area. The building is old and beautiful close to the river. It has an awesome staircase in the center. We experienced a cool thunderstorm last night. Today the sun was shining and we toured Marquette (see last post).  We checked out the Milwaukee Market Place and found a cool Italian restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. This place is awesome!  A great mother/daughter trip!

Marquette

Emma was invited to tour Marquette University in Milwaukee WI. The school paid her flight and hotel. The day was full of University experiences from lunch in the main cafeteria to an introduction to the business school where she was accepted into to a tour of campus. It was a beautiful campus and great day. Another school on the list.

Last basketball game

Olivia played her las high school basketball game tonight. It was a playoff game against Colville. They also did their last team dinner and bus ride home. She really enjoyed playing basketball all these years and I loved watching her.

Reading to Elementary students

Emma got to spend a day at her old elementary school and read to several classes. She even got to have recess with the kids. She said she had a whole posey of girls following her around. So fun!
