Last JV Football game

Marcus played his last football of the 2023 season tonight. It ended in a 6-6 tie vs Lakeside. Ethan was Marcus’s quarterback this season. These two have played a lot of football together over the years. Can’t wait to see what they do next year. Go Rams!

 

Kitchen almost complete!

Marc and Marcus have been working hard to finish the kitchen. We are almost there!  Just a few finishing touches like trim and outlet covers and we are there!  I really love how it turned out. 

 

 

Halloween Party

The girls went to Lexie’s Halloween party last night. 

The idea was all the girls were dressing up as Disney princesses. 

Olivia was Jasmine. 

Emma decided to go her own direction and went as Indiana Jones   

Even at 17 they still don’t want to dress the same theme. 

Marcus just hung out at home for the night.

Varsity football season end

Tonight was the last league varsity football game. It was against Lakeside! Riverside has been plagued with injuries this season so we didn’t finish very strong. Lakeside ended up undefeated and ranked 2nd in state!  Glad to see our friends do well.  Can’t wait to see how they do in playoffs.

Green Bluff

The kids went to Green Bluff today. They did the corn maze, had cider, listened to bands, bought pumpkins and even bowled!  What a fun day!

Battle of the Horns

Tonight was Battle of the Horns, the big rivalry game against Deer Park. It started with a pancake breakfast for all football players and cheerleaders in Deer Park early this morning. Then there was tailgate before the game and the game started at 7pm. The Rams have been cursed this season with injuries, the latest was a broken hand for our quarterback. Unfortunately the boys didn’t have enough to get the win this year. Marcus played well and had a good support section. Tomorrow is EWU Homecoming so Marc’s college buddies are in town!  

 

Manito Park

Book club met at Manito Park for a beautiful fall walk. Our book was Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese. This is the second book we’ve read by him and it was equally amazing. We had a great time catching up; I love us!

 

Last HS Volleyball Game

The girls played in their last high school volleyball game tonight at Lakeside. Olivia actually realized she played her first varsity volleyball game as a freshman at Lakeside and now her last as a senior…full circle!  I was glad it was Lakeside… we have lots of friends there and we really felt the support. 

It might not have been a winning season but so glad to have gotten a coach like Amanda to end this chapter. She is amazing!
