HOCO week begins

 

Today’s theme is Country Club vs Country. Olivia slept in this morning so I just got Emma and Marcus to start the day. Emma drove to school for the first time today too! 

Olivia went with Country. Too cute. 

More HOCO Fun

Olivia has a date to HOCO. This is Carter. They are going as friends with a group of friends. I’m so glad high school is finally normal for these kids. They are having so much fun. Emma has a date with a friend too but the official ask hasn’t happened yet. Oh and explanation on Olivia’s outfit…the volleyball players dressed in tropical clothes today. 

 

Weekend Fun

Chad and Julie invited us to see Sam Hunt on Saturday night. 

We had a blast!  Always love date night. 

Sunday the kids decided to check out the fair. It was the last day. 

The freshmen had a blast. So fun! 

The kids rode every ride!

We pretty much closed down the fair!  

 

Volleyball Highlights

The Rams played Medical Lake tonight. 

I love how they line up in order of numbers. 

The girls played so great tonight. I haven’t posted video in a long time so thought I would tonight. This was a great rally. 

Rams won in 5 matches!!!  Way to go ladies!!!

 

HOCO Fun

Marcus got creative this weekend with help from his sisters. 

He planned to ask Aubrie yesterday after his football game but the game was postponed due to smoke. So he asked her first thing this morning. 

She said yes!  So Marcus has a date to HOCO!  

 

Angels

The girls joined a new team this year…the Washington Angels. We had a full weekend of softball and it was fun to watch this new group grow. 

Olivia plays a lot of first and pitcher. 

Olivia is hitting the ball so well. She’s too 3 in batting average on the team. 

Emma is playing a lot of catcher, shortstop and second base. 

She is also top 3 in batting average on the team. 

She is loving the team and coach. 

Day 1 was a doubleheader scrimmage and then a 4 hour camp followed by an Angels organization BBQ. 

Day 2 was 3 scrimmages. Emma started as catcher…the sky was full of smoke but made for cool pictures. 

Olivia pitched in every game this weekend.

We played Kaydin’s team at the end and Ryan got this picture of Olivia pitching to Kaydin and Emma catching…so fun!  

I love how the Angels stand on the baseline and thank the crowd. They start on the opponent’s side and thank the crowd then move to our side to thank us. So cool. Even though this team is based out of the Tri-Cities, the girls agree it is worth the 3 hour drive (each way) to be part of this team. They are getting so good and really getting closer to fulfilling their dream to play college softball. 

 

Reunion

 

Our good friend, Mark, was finally able to come visit from New Zealand!  COVID restrictions kept him away for the last few years. It was so great to see him again. Can’t wait until the next time!  

Fall sports

Fall sports started with football for Marcus on Friday evening in St Maries ID. It was a pre-season non-league game. 

It was super hot but the boys did well winning 34-18. 

Marcus even scored a touchdown!!!  

Coach Howard was proud.

Last night the girls had their first volleyball game. 

They played Colville and unfortunately lost. Colville wanted to take a group photo after the game. The girls thought that was so cool!  Great kids right here!
