Trip to Kansas

We took the girls to a college visit in Kansas City,MO.  They started with a tour of the college. This is Avila University, a small Catholic school with a great softball program. 

They were invited to attend the girls basketball playoff game and even got to sit in the student section. 

  Then we explored Kansas City and found the Chiefs stadium. 

The Royals stadium is right next to the Chiefs.

The next day the girls attend a camp at Avila.

It was a great camp. 

This is Avila’s coach. The girls really liked him. We met him at a tournament in WA and we really liked what he had to say about the school. 

Overall it was a great visit. 

We even saw Cory and Sandra!  

 

Then headed home.

Go Lady Rams

The game was a tough one. Sadly we lost but the girls played with all their heart and we were all so proud. 

This team made it the farthest of any Rams team and they are mainly sophomores so the future is bright. 

Love these friendships. 

It was fun having Celia in the team. She is an exchange student from Spain!

The girls got to go to dinner at Olive Garden. The school even paid!  Great season ladies!

 

Girls Day

It was time for our book club to meet again. We met at a Crepe restaurant to discuss our latest book, Redeeming Love. It was a good one!

Then Karen, Brenda and I headed to the mountain for some cross country skiing. 

We had a blast 

The weather was perfect!  Always a good time with these ladies. 

 

Winter Pitching

This is Steve Fountain, Olivia’s pitching coach. She spends hours during the off season working with Steve. Lauding also goes to Steve. Emma is there the entire time catching for her sister. We are so lucky to have Steve here!

 

Basketball continues

The lady Rams ended up playing for third and fourth in our league!

They played Lakeside and ended with the WIN!!!  Third place in the league!!!  What an accomplishment!  Next up…crossover game vs Cashmere for a spot at State!

 

Vegas Tournament

Diamonds went to Vegas over the weekend. 

They played 2 full days of softball and did really well for their first tournament of the year. 

We hung out on the strip one night. Most of the team stayed at a hotel on the strip. 

We met some of the team for dinner. It was quite the experience. 

Two peas in a pod!  We took the motorhome. It’s so nice to have our own space. This was a great purchase for us.
