Our book club went on a bike ride today. We decided to check out The Children of the Sun trail. It was a great ride! We met at one trail head area and rode about 5 miles which took us to coffee and shopping. We talked Mel’s shop owner into taking our picture and we ended up on their Instagram page! Then we rode the 5 miles back to our cars. So fun! Our book this time was “The Silent Patient”...it was a good one!

Reminiscing
The kids were invited to their old elementary school for kindergarten night. They were in charge of taking the upcoming kindergartners on a tour of the school. They were each assigned certain families and took them around the school and told them all about Riverside. They had a blast! These kids have gone to school since they were in kindergarten! The end 2 are now in 7th grade the blonde is a sophomore and the other 3 are freshmen. My how time flies by.
As we were leaving I realize I’ve never taken pictures of the group photos the school always took. Just a few more years and Emma and Olivia‘s kindergarten picture probably won’t even be up there! So I took a picture of all of them and then a little photo editing with a red marks to show where they all are each year:
Emma and Olivia- kindergarten
Emma and Olivia - 1st grade
Marcus - kindergarten
Emma and Olivia - 2nd grade
Marcus - 1st grade
Emma and Olivia - 3rd grade
Marcus - 2nd grade
Emma and Olivia - 4th grade
Marcus - 3rd grade
Marcus - 4th grade
The school only went to 4th grade and then all kids go to Riverside Elementary for 5th and on to the middle school for 6th. Chattaroy Elementary is a special place for these kids though. They formed a great bond with all the kids and teachers and are forever known as
the “Chattaroy Kids”.

High school basketball
The high school sports seasons run into each other this year. The girls ended softball on Thursday and started basketball Friday. They got 3 practices in before their first game. It was an away game and the league decided no away fans They do stream the games however the girls JV game was not streamed. Luckily Emma and Olivia got to play a little varsity too so I didn’t have to miss their first high school game experience completely. They did very well especially for having only 3 practices.
Go Lady Rams.

End of a Successful Season
The girls played their final 2 games this week. Go Lady Rams!
Tuesday was against Medical Lake, they won by a landslide. Yesterday they played Newport and won 13-3. Great way to end the season.
We took one final group photo before they turned in uniforms.
Coach Rose wanted to do their end of season party right after the game to make sure everyone was there. He lined them up and said something special about each one while he handed them their letters.
Emma, Bree and Olivia were grouped together due to some special news.
These three made All Conference 2nd team!
Emma actually tied with a senior for Defensive MVP of the league! The coaches did a revote and the senior ended up getting it by 1 vote! He said it is very rare for underclassmen to make All Conference so it was something to be very proud of.
These are our four Diamonds and all star Freshman!
These are the Riverside All Conference girls...
Olivia 2nd team, Allison 1st team, Kynlea 1st team, Emma 2nd team, Bree 2nd team.
These were the main starters during the season. A very young team. There are 3 Juniors, 1 Sophomore and 6 Freshman!
Great Job Ladies! Thank you coaches!

It was Senior Night last night at Softball. Allison and Olivia were excited.
The girls dressed up for school.
So pretty.
Love it!
They were so good about taking pictures.
The softball team only has one senior this year. We had a cool banner made for her.
Coach Rose wanted a picture.
We love our Seniors!
The girls also ended the night with a WIN!
Go Lady Rams!

Middle School basketball
Middle School basketball was similar to football this year due to COVID. The boys had a 3 week season and just practiced and scrimmaged. Parents were invited the last day to watch.
