More Arizona

Shuffle board was on the agenda for the third day.

Marcus had wanted to play since the moment he arrived.

Olivia just read at first.

The big boys showed the kids how it's done.

All three jumped right in eventually.

Olivia thought it was pretty cool.

Emma loved the sun.

Then we went to the Superstition Museum for some fun.

They had the coolest train set.  The kids got to do a scavenger hunt.

Grami and Poppie watched them find all the cool stuff.

Even the train workers helped the kids out.

What a fun place!

Marcus wanted to pose with a cactus and the mountains.  Pretty cool.

Then we went to an old ghost town called Goldfield.  We started by riding on the train.

Then we went to see the gun fight.  This little guy entertained everyone at first.  He was a good little actor!

We were all set up waiting for the gun fight to begin.

It was pretty loud and very entertaining.

The kids thought this town was pretty cool.

They even had a shooting range.

By Monday it was time for the kids and Marc to head home.  We stopped at Bass Pro Shop before they had to head to the airport.  I had to stay a few extra days for a work conference.

They all made it on to the flight home just fine.  What an adventure!

Arizona Day 2

We got to meet a lot of Grami and Poppi's friends.   We went to a fabulous lunch and Emma was in charge of helping decorate a cheesecake...YUMMY!

There were lots of games to play.

Perfect afternoon.

Poppi showed Olivia how to make fresh juice.

Good job Olivia!

All the kids enjoyed this activity and the juice was good too!

The girls relaxed for a bit.

We couldn't keep Marcus away from the pool...even when it was raining!

They also had a pool table so the kids learned to play pool.

We had some great games...lots of fun.

The park has some amazing sites.  The kids had never seen a cactus before this.

They also had a library close by.  The kids area was awesome.

Olivia put on a puppet show for us.

Emma did too.

They each checked out a book.

Marcus is in a Star Wars phase right now so he found the perfect book.

There was a cool park close by too.

We got to see all kinds of great sites.  Grami and Poppi were good tour guides.

Arizona Trip

We decided to take a trip to Arizona to see Grami and Poppi.  This was the kids' first plane ride (that they could remember...the twins actually flew when they were one).  We started in Spokane of course.

Emma sat next to me and had a window seat.

Marcus and Olivia sat by Marc.

We made it to Phoenix!  Everyone loved the plane.

We took the shuttle to get our rental car.  Pretty cool.

Then we drove to Grami and Poppi's park.  Even though it was only 60 degrees the kids still wanted to swim.  The pool was warm so they loved it!
