Snow Day

We had 2 snow days already due to icy roads and lots of snow.  Olivia wanted to sled!

It was really nice outside...a perfect snow day.

Lovely Lily

We made a tough decision to find Lily a new home.  She seemed sad at our place.  She needed lots of space to run and lots of animal friends to play with and we just didn't have that for her here.  We found an amazing couple to take her and they sent me this beautiful picture of her running free.  She is very happy in her new home.  We were sad to see her go but we really feel she will have a much happier life now.  We were so grateful to have the time we did with her...she really was a great girl.

Little Get Away

We decided to take a little trip to Lake Chelan to start the New Year off.  The kids had a free weekend from Basketball so the time seemed right.  Marcus said this was the first time he slept at a hotel...I need to check on that...

The room was huge, two queen beds, a pullout bed, bathroom and partial kitchen complete with dishes.

The kids loved every minute.  We arrived on a Friday evening, checked in and then went out to dinner.  Then we watched a movie and settled in for the night.

We decided to head to Leavenworth the next day.  We started out with lunch first.  Mommy and Marcus...

The food was amazing...here's the restaurant.

Then we walked around to all the little shops.  They have a Christmas store!

The kids loved it there!

It was like being in another country!

The buildings were so cool.

There was even a cool toy shop.

What a great place to visit.

We will be back again for sure.

We came back to the hotel to watch the Seahawks play and eat some pizza.

Our hotel was right on the lake.

What a great way to start the new year!
