We went to the last day of the fair this year...we arrived at 10am right when it opened. When we got to the gate a nice family had 3 extra youth tickets so the kids got in free! The rides weren't open right away but we found lots to do...like take pictures with the sharks...
And pictures with the pigs.

We gave the kids each $20 to spend on whatever they wanted. Olivia and Marcus started with a camel ride.
Marcus and Emma climbed the rock wall. They all paid for their own lunch too. It was a great lesson in money management. They were very conscious of how much money they had and what everything cost...it was great to see.
They all lucked out; we passed by a radio station booth and the guy handed us $30 worth of ride tickets!
We started with a family ride on the Ferris wheel. Emma did not want to go but we made her of course.

They had a blast. Olivia would have gone on every ride but she wasn't quite tall enough this year...she will be next year though!
Emma opted for games instead. She played the dart game; she had 2 darts and hit 2 balloons...
and won this cute little pig which she named Butter.
We had a blast this year! The kids are too old for Mutton Bustin so we didn't do that...but it was fun to do new things. What a great day!
