The Eclipse

The girls heard about the eclipse at school so we watched it.  Here it is, just starting.

It was hard to get pictures, but this is pretty.

Olivia and Emma thought this was cool.

I really didn't get many more pictures but it was cool to watch.  Another memory in the books!

Wildcats vs. Lions

We played the Lions yesterday.  The big boys had a forfeit so we got moved to the big field.  We even got the big cheerleaders!  And the kids got to run through the banner!  So exciting!

Go Wildcats!

There's #3...go Marcus!

They even got their names announced!  This was big time!

Plus they did the presentation of the colors...so cool!

Marc had to miss this game unfortunately.  The Lions were quite big; Marcus ended up playing on the line this game...the Lions were breaking through to easily and they needed a strong force to hold them back...Marcus was up for the job.

No fear in this kid!

Look how big that kid is sthat Marcus is up against!

I was very proud of Marcus.

That big kid was pretty rough...he did get called alot; there were many times that he would push kids down after a play was far over.  Marcus always jumped right back up though without a complaint.

It was pretty cool having the cheerleaders.  Brings a whole new element to the game.

Can you see Marcus in the back looking around at his opponent...he's ready!

Love watching him play!

There were those moments that I wanted to go out and crush that big kid though...this was one of those that happened after the play was over...Marcus didn't even see it coming.  He was turning to walk the other way when this kid just walked up and pushed him!  GRRR...

We ended up scoring 3 to their 2 touchdowns though...so not a bad day!

Go Cats!!!

Teacher

Olivia wants to be a teach when she grows up.  Every night after school she sets up her classroom.  See how everyone has desks; they are all working hard.

She really does make a good teacher.  I hear her talking to her class all the time and she does it with authority.

Dirt Bike

Marcus got a dirt bike this summer.  He actually earned it with good behavior in school last year.

I was a bit nervous about this but he actually does really well.

Marc did a great job teaching him all about it and talking about safety.  I can't believe how fast this kid is growing up!  Love him to pieces.

Picking Fruit

Our pears are ready.  Marc loaded the kids up to pick some pears.

Gia and Emma did a lot of picking and threw them down to Sophie and Olivia.

Eventually Sophie and Olivia got a turn too.

Then Marc took the kids down to the apple trees.  Tracy and Wes went down to take some pictures.

Ceci tried out Marcus' dirt bike.  The kids cheered her on.

Go Ceci Go!

They had a great day picking fruit.

They had lots of fun in the tractor too.

Hooray for tractors!!!

Wildcats vs Seahawks

Today we played the Seahawks.  The game started off right...Marcus getting in on the action early. Marcus carries the ball for several yards. He's really getting the hang of this. Grami, Poppi, Tracy, Wes and their kids all came to watch Marcus play! I got a whole sequence of Marcus running the ball all the way to the 20. He told us after the game that the ref blew his whistle so he stopped...Marc told him he was very proud but also used it as a learning opportunity.  We were all so proud...Marcus was pretty proud of his run too.
