One Last Game

Monday night was the last softball game of the season.  Emma got to play catcher most of the game which is her favorite position.  Olivia's favorite position is 2nd base.  She does really well there too.  She got several outs. The girls hit amazing and then did one last Blue Heat cheer. The group photo, Front row is Maddy, Olivia, Molly
Middle row is Kaydin, Olivia, Malia, Emma, Ainsley, Morgan and Jadyn
Back is coach Marc and coach Ryan...what a great team! The coaches promised ice cream so we went to Zips after the game. They had such a great season and made some great friendships.  I was sad to see it end but I know we'll run into these girls again soon!  Great Job Blue Heat!

Trucks, Tractors and Dogs

Now we have some dirt work going...don't worry; I'll do some before and after photos once we get all our projects done.  Marcus brought out his trucks last night...the conditions were just too perfect not to. Olivia filmed her dad dragging the big tree to the back. She also joined in on playing in the dirt. Emma also got some filming in. Tucker (10 yrs old) and Rebel were loving life. We are babysitting her right now while her family (Wes, Tracy, Sophie, Ceci and Gia) are on vacation.  So far she's been great! Marc needed a load of wood taken down to the bottom of the field.  Marcus has been driving the tractor for a while now so he hopped on to do the work.  Emma knows her place...she has to sit behind Marcus to add weight; otherwise the tractor won't go. Marcus is really good at driving this tractor.  Marc has taught him all about safety and how to run things.  They always wear their seat belt too. Olivia was sure to supervise and give her two cents...she's pretty good at that. Olivia checked out the excavator, and Marcus let Emma drive for a bit. Then it was Olivia's turn to be the weight in the back.

Timber

We have a random tree in our back yard that never really fit.  It was a beautiful tree but we have big plans and it is in the wrong place. Marc got an excavator this weekend so last night he decided the tree had to come down. All it took was a little push.

Chautauqua

Saturday was Chewelah's annual festival Chautauqua.  It all started with the amazing parade.  I am always so impressed by the floats.  One was all the way from British Columbia! We hung out with the Tilla's. It started pouring rain but no one cared...we've been praying for rain! We visited the Children's Pavilion.  There was a local artist there.  The kids were supposed to look in the mirror and draw their faces. Then The girls moved to the bead table. Marcus and Olivia went to the easel painting stations.  Emma walked around with Daddy. Marcus went to the face painting but got his arm painted instead. He got a black widow. Emma got her arm painted too. Emma got a cute little pig.  So fun!
