Emma was invited to be part of a group called SOAR this year. It is a group of kids who get to participate in extra activities at school. They started with a 6-week program. Emma learned how to brainstorm, pick a topic, research the topic, do a timeline and outline and in the end she has to give a presentation to her class. Her presentation is tomorrow! She is doing it on Hydropower. She did this cool presentation board too. She has her note cards ready and is completely prepared. She said she is super nervous but I know she is going to do very well. We couldn't be any prouder.

Stars
The kids visited The Spokane Boys Christmas Tree stand today after school and Santa was there!
They took a few pictures with Santa.
Such cute kids.
What a treat to see Santa so early in the season.
The real reason they went was to shoot a commercial for The Spokane Boys! Yep...our kids are going to be local stars. Chad's girls grew up and didn't want to do the commercial this year so Chad asked our kids. They are so excited! Keep an eye out for them on TV!

Happy Veteran's Day
The kids had their annual Veteran's Day Concert yesterday morning...3rd and 4th grade started the show...look at my two 3rd graders behaving nicely.
Then came 1st and 2nd graders...look at my 1st grader...well, let's just say he is a social one.
Yep, a bit social indeed!
The kids invited Papa to the concert again this year. The girls came to give Nana and Papa hugs after the show.
Emma showed us her work that she did to honor the Veterans.
Olivia showed us her work too.
Then we ran into Marcus to say goodbye. Thank you for your service Papa and to all the Veterans out there! Happy Veteran's Day!!!

Football Party
The boys went to Sky High for their end of the season party. Marcus reconnected with his old buddies...here's Aiden and Marcus chatting it up.
The boys got awards from the coaches.
Look at that cool football trophy...so proud.
What a great season it was! Marcus made some great friends and learned a lot of football!

Trick orTreat
We started off the night at Scott and Julie's house across the street.
Scott handed out the candy.
Happy Halloween! We do not get trick or treaters in our area since we live so far away so this is a treat for Scott and Julie.
Licorice...yum!
We kept the tradition and headed to The Perry's house. Makayla was a witch and Bella was Doc McStuffins...too cute.
It was the perfect night. There was a little fog and a chill in the air...felt like Halloween.
This was the "haunted house"...pretty cool.
Marcus didn't actually finish with the others...he felt sick before we started and almost didn't go. He decided to try but didn't quite make it all the way.
Quick group photo...we have a lot less kids than in the past. It was just The Perry's and The Oergel's.
Bella, Bria, Emma, Marcus, Makayla and Olivia...such a cute little group.
None of our kids even ate any candy...Emma woke up with the stomach flu last night and Marcus woke up with it this morning. Olivia had it last Saturday so hopefully this is the end of the stomach flu! We have a huge bowl full of candy and no one can eat it right now! That's dangerous for Mommy and Daddy's waistlines for sure! Hope they all get better soon!
