Farm kids

Today was harvest day for the garden.  We had some help from the cousins.  Emma, Ceci, Olivia and Marcus showed off the carrots.

Gia joined in the fun too...Sophie was out and about with her Dad.

The kids helped pick carrots and corn today.  We processed a bunch and got them in the freezer ready for winter eating.

They all did a great job.  It's fun to be a farm kid!

Can't wait to eat all the good veggies!

Front Row Seats

We got front row seats to the Eagles game on Saturday night!  We saw this cool truck above the parking lot and thought it would make an awesome picture...Love it!

Gia and Olivia enjoyed tailgating.

Emma and Sophie liked it too.

We parked next to a grassy area perfect for the kids.

We got into the stadium just in time to see the Eastern Eagles walk by...look at how giant those players are!

We had front row seats...perfect for a picture.

Look at the red field...Marcus loved it!

Some of the Pop Warner kids got to play at half time...this was a group older than Marcus but he dreams of playing on this field some day.

The kids just loved this!

After half time we got to see the players again.  Look at the joy on Marcus' face as the players gave him and the other kids high five.

After this the kids said they were never washing their hands again...they kept saying "they are famous Mom!"  Oh to be a kid again :-)

Picking Peaches

We started our Labor Day Weekend fun in Green Bluff.  We went to Harvest House for yummy donuts!  Ceci, Sophie and Gia agreed they are yummy!

Cute cousin picture.

There was a live band playing and they gave the kids fun props to join in.

Olivia loved this!

We hopped on the "Country Limo" for a little ride to the peach orchard.

Gia, Ceci, Sophie, Wes and Tracy...this was their first visit to Green Bluff.

We got our wagon and boxes and went to pick the peaches.

Marc made sure each peach was ripe enough.

Olivia shows off a nice big peach.

Marcus tested out some peaches.

Marc even let the kids taste them too.

Family photo.

Goofy Marcus...

Group photo.

Twin photo.

Waiting for the "Country Limo" to take us back to our cars...it was a fun trip to Green Bluff once again!

Whooo

When we got home last night Emma spotted this beautiful owl in our field.  I hopped out of the car to get a picture.

He flew a little closer to our shop after a while so Marc snuck behind to get this photo.  So pretty!  Marc even witnessed him getting a mouse out of the field...good job!  As far as I'm concerned he can hang out all he wants.

Silverwood

We took the day off yesterday to go to Silverwood.  We started the day with the "dry" rides.

Bumper boats were first...they didn't turn out to be so "dry" after all.

Marc even participated.

Marc worked hard to soak the girls.

Marcus got soaked by people on the sidelines.

Sibling fights...

Marcus was so wet but loved it!

We decided since the kids were already so wet we'd just head to Boulder Beach....the water park.

The wave pool was a hit.  Marcus proved to be a good surfer.

Look at him go!

Cruzy was there too!

The girls hung out with Kaydin.

Kristin, Ryan, Marc and I had front row seats to keep an eye on the kids.

Those waves were so fun.

Olivia, Kaydin and Emma soaking up the sun.

The kids got a little cold so we went back to our picnic table for some snacks and sun.

Teamwork...off to another water park adventure.

They had water slides the perfect size for these kids...here's Emma.

Olivia had a blast too.

Go Marcus Go!

Then it was off to the big slides...I waited over 45 minutes to get the perfect picture...when the boys finally came down I was so excited to finally see them I almost cut them out of the picture!

I did a little better with the girls.  I unfortunately forgot my swim suite bottoms so didn't participate in the water activities...I just acted as photographer for the day.

The big slides were next...There's Ryan coming down the middle slide.

Marcus actually went down one of these slides too!  No surprise I guess; he will do just about anything!

Marc tried the big slide too...weeeee....

And little Emma went down a big slide as well!  I was surprised by this one...

She said she was nervous but glad she did it...her exact words were "now I know I can do anything!"  Oh boy!

Everyone decided to do the Lazy River next.  Kaydin, Emma and Olivia started out sharing a raft.

Marc and Ryan sure enjoyed this.

The kids got soaked!  Marcus and Cruzy loved this.

Emma ended up hanging out with Marc and just relaxed down the Lazy River.

We had a little photo bomb during family photos...nice one Cruzy :-)

Here we are without the photo bomb.

What a great day!  The kids were so overly tired and wired at the same time once it was time to go home...hard to get a group kid photo in those conditions :-)  So glad we did this!  What a great way to end the summer break!
