Thanksgiving Day

The boys began Thanksgiving day with a morning hunt.  Look who is the regular hunter now...Marcus LOVES hunting!

Lucky for me, they brought the camera with them!  Uncle Colby joined the hunting too; as you can see, they are doing more scouting than hunting though.

Kindergarten Thanksgiving

I volunteered in Marcus' class today to help the Kindergartners celebrate Thanksgiving.  It started with the craft stations...I was in charge of the turkey weaving.

The kids moved from station to station making all kinds of fun things.

Marcus made a bead necklace and headband.  There was also a reading station and they made turkeys with feathers at another station...so much fun!

Next we moved to the old gym for a feast.  There was turkey, rolls, fruit, beef jerky, raisins, pumpkin rolls, popcorn, carrots...it was quite the feast!

It was lots of fun to volunteer; something I don't get to do very often due to work.  I did this one for the girls too so I just had to do it for Marcus.  He really enjoyed having me there too...so fun!

Zac Brown Band

Last night we started the evening with the Bradeens to celebrate Ryan's birthday.  The girls all had their hair done the same and it wasn't even planned!  Must have been the style of the day :-)

Cruz got some great dress up clothes so he and Marcus showed some of them off. 

Then the kids stayed with babysitters and the adults headed to town for some Zac Brown Band...a long awaited date night for us!

Zac Brown Band put on a show!  They were amazing!  So much talent! 

I was blown away!  I'm so glad we went to see them...if they ever come back I will be there again for sure!  What a fun night!  I'm so glad Kristin put all of this together (it was a surprise for Ryan).  We will definately plan to do something like this again real soon!

Teddy

Kindergarten gets to bring Teddy home one night and write in his journal.  Last night Marcus brought him home.  Teddy got to go to the YMCA afterschool and play with Marcus and his friends.  He came home and watched Mommy make dinner, he sat at dinner with us.  Then he helped Marcus with bath and brushing his teeth.

Teddy even came with his own tooth brush.  Marcus brushed his teeth too.

Marcus read Teddy a book.

Marcus even let Teddy borrow some PJs.  We had lots of fun with Teddy!

Day of Shopping

While the boys were hunting...the girls were shopping!  We hit the mall today and found this really cool mural.  Picture Perfect!

They had an EWU display so we had to take a photo for Daddy.

On our way home Grami looked over and noticed Mt Spokane was pink and the full moon was right above it.  Sadly we didn't have my good camera but she got a quick shot with my phone.  This picture does not due it justice...it was so beautiful people were pulling over to take photos.  I should have pulled over but thought I could make it home in time to get a shot with my good camera...sadly we didn't make it...but I'll never forget that beauty!  It was the perfect end to a perfect day.

Big Boy

Marcus got to go hunting this morning.  He was up bright and early...3:30am!  We did get him to go back to sleep...when 6:30 came around he was tired.

But he got going quickly.  Poppi is here to hunt too!  Have you ever seen a more excited little boy?

He helped load the car and was ready to go.  I can't wait to hear all about it.

Gramie and Poppi's

Last weekend we went to Gramie and Poppi's house to hang out with the cousins.  Marcus is drawing a picture of Ceci.

Sophie and Emma were cleaning out the creek.

Olivia had emailed Gramie before we arrived asking if they could make some cookies that she had seen on Pioneer Woman.  Gramie baked a sheet cake and Olivia went to work.  First she cut out circles.

Next she frosted.

And ended with a couple of cherries on top.

The main reason we came was to celebrate Poppi's birthday!  Olivia gave Poppi the first cookie.

Olivia made one for everyone!  So fun!

Visit from Nana & Papa

Earlier this month Nana and Papa came for a visit.  They took us to Harvest House for pumpkin donuts.  YUM

We had cider too.

We love pumpkin donuts.

The kids invited Papa to their Veteran's Day concert since he was a Veteran.  I wasn't able to go because it snowed that morning and the roads were horrible.  But Nana and Papa were there and took some pictures for me.

This was Marcus' first concert as a Kindergartner...sad I missed it but so glad Nana and Papa were there.
