Trick or Treat

Olivia painted her own face tonight...she's getting way to big!

We did our traditional trick or treating in Makayla and Bella's neighborhood.  It was fun to see Marcus and Bella reconnect.

Now that Marcus is in school these two don't get to see each other.  They really miss each other...so sweet.

Part of the group...sadly Makayla broke her arm on the playground today, but she was a trooper and still wanted to trick or treat.

The whole group for this year.  It was fun to see DeeDee and her kids again...we haven't seen them since June!  It is always great to get together with old friends.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Creativity

Last weekend Emma and Marcus were busy in the basement.  They brought me down to show me what they built.  It is Mommy's parking garage!  They had the blocks perfectly placed and cars in between...quite the builders!  They were so proud...so was I :-)

Halloween Carnival

The kids got all dressed up for a Halloween Carnival at our church tonight.

We have 2 pirates and a kitty this year.

"Arrrrr" says pirate Marcus.

"Meow" says kitty Olivia

"Ahoy Mates" says pirate Emma.

Too cute!

Even Mommy got in the spirit...the ears was the best I could do :-)

The carnival was perfect for the kids.  They had all sorts of games and with each game the kids got a piece of candy.  Look at that aim...nice throw Marcus.  This was Marcus' favorite...we might have a quarterback in our future.

Emma tried out the Planko Board.

And golf too.

They had hanging donuts...too fun.  Marcus went first.  He actually took several bites out of it...he's pretty good at this game!

It took Olivia a bit longer, but she did get a small bite out of hers too.

There was even a fishing game.

And you could bob for apples.  The girls did not want to but Marcus did of course.

He tried pretty hard.

Then got a little help.

And got his apple...he ate the whole thing too.

There was even a cake walk.  The little boy in front of Marcus is his buddy from Sunday School.  His buddy actually won a cake!  Nice job!

We took a couple more pictures.

Then home and off to bed.  What a great event...we'll have to do this one again next year!

Crocktober Fest

We had some friends over for a potluck October party today.  We started with carving pumpkins.  Emma had her pumpkin ready.

Olivia had her pumpkin too.

Marcus is ready to carve.

The kids got down and dirty...this is the best part!

They really do enjoy this.

The power tools came out in full force.  Dustin cut all the tops off with a saw!

Kaydin had no problem getting dirty either.

The adults did the carving of course; our kids are all still a little young for that.

Olivia did draw her face on the pumpkin and Daddy carved it out...cute!

While the adults finished carving, the kids decided to play in the leaves.

They raked a big pile...Aubrey, Harlow, Marcus, Kaydin, Cruz, Olivia and Emma are ready to jump in!

And there they go!

Leaves are so fun!

The finished pumpkins.

We got all the kids to sit in on a picture!
Top row is Olivia (7), Kadyin (6) and Emma (7).
Bottom row is Hunter (3), Aubrey (5), Harlow (4), Easton (1), Cruz (3) and Marcus (5).
Everyone brought crock pots full of amazing chili, soups, etc.  There was bread and salad and even apples dipped in caramel.  It was the perfect Crocktober Fest!

EWU

After the birthday party, we headed to Cheney for Homecoming.

We had tickets to the game.

Marcus got an eagle tattoo.

Emma got a tattoo too.

Olivia wanted to show her spirit with a tattoo on her cheek.

Emma thought the cheek idea was pretty cool.

Marcus went for one on the neck...Go Eags!

We even ran into the mascot.

We walked in and saw "the Inferno".  Such a cool field!

Our seats were on the other side...still pretty cool!

EWU fans at their best!

Super cute.

Olivia ate this whole thing of Nachos by herself!  YUM!

Marcus showed us his quick feet.

We stayed until the 4th quarter and the kids cheered the entire time.  They didn't want to leave...they loved it.  Marcus wants to be a football player and the girls want to be cheerleaders of course...we'll see.  They all said they loved EWU too...I like that idea...close to home :-)
