HOT

It was a hot one today!  The pool has been up for a few weeks now but today was the first day we have been in it all day!  Jack and Harlow spent the day with us too.

The kids learned a cool trick; they fill these up with water and blow in them and water comes out the other side.  It is hilarious!

The floaties are really popular too.

So nice to have good friends and a pool!

Emma wanted to get a quick picture of Daddy and Mommy...I love that they can take pictures now...we can actually be in the blog from time to time :-)

The kids were suddenly quiet while Marc and I made dinner...we came out to find them chatting under the awning just like grown ups...what a great day!  Marc and I have the whole week off so this is a great start to our VACATION!!! 

Mud

A few nights ago I caught the kids playing in the mud...they were actually creating beautiful art!  Olivia drew around their hand prints with chalk.

Emma did most of the mud work...Marcus did too.

This was actually Marcus' idea...I wasn't pleased about the muddy messes they were, but all I got out of them was "Mom, we're kids...that's what we do...we play in mud!"  I couldn't argue with that!

I did however make them run through the sprinkler a few times to get that muddy mess off!  I don't think they minded much though.

Brave Girl

We were discussing our weekend plans on Friday and Olivia announced she was getting her ears pierced on Saturday...so...first thing Saturday morning we went to the jewelry store.  She was definitely ready.  She knew what earrings she wanted before they even asked...ladybugs.

There were no tears, no fear...she is the happiest girl on earth.  Too Cute!

Summer Begins!

I took the kids downtown today to visit Mommy's work.

Then we had lunch at Daddy's work with Daddy.

Then ran through the park.

YAY!

Roller Girls

Look what we found in the summer box!  The girls tried them out last night and didn't do so bad!

School's Out!

Yesterday was the girls' last day of 1st grade.

Marcus and I had fun in the sun!  Now we officially have one in kindergarten and 2 in second grade!

Nemo Party!

We attended a Nemo Birthday Bash today...My good friend Crystal, put together an amazing party to celebrate her son, Ethan's, 2nd Birthday.

We ran into our little friend, Sydney, at the party too.  We attempted to get the birthday boy in a picture, but this was the best we could do.

There was even a piñata.  Emma actually helped to break it open!

Real Earrings

Emma wanted her ears pierced for her 7th birthday; we finally had time today.

She did very well, sat very still...and viola...she has real earrings!  She teared up a little, but never cried.

She was so excited to finally have real earrings.

Olivia decided not to get hers done, but I'm sure she will someday...when she's ready. 

Grease!

Cassie, me, and Stefanie had a girls' night out to watch Kallie (on my right) perform in Grease.  Kallie did such a great job!  It was so much fun to see...and to have a girls' night!  I need to do more of those!
