Night Out on the Town

We took the kids to see the lighting of Ellensburg tonight. It was chilly but a ton of fun.

We didn't have gloves for Marcus; he actually refuses to wear them anyway but tonight he did make an effort to keep his hands warm. See them tucked inside Daddy's hat. Isn't that the cutest!

After the lights were turned on, we walked around a bit and took a few photos. We also got to watch a group of real live ballerinas dance; we stood outside and the ballerina's stood at the windows and danced for everyone to see. The girls LOVED it. The ballerinas were dressed in white with tierras and looked like beautiful princesses. I think it was the highlight of the girls' evening.

Oh and we did get to see the famous bull too. We took some family pictures with Grami's camera. I couldn't get the kids to sit by him; they were a little afraid of him for some reason. Just as we were walking away, I did get Olivia to pose for me though. She is really starting to get more brave as she gets older. What a cutie if I do say so myself!

First Haircut

Ok so it's not Marcus' first hair cut, but it was his first with the vacuum connected to the clippers...he wasn't so sure about that.

Emma did have her first haircut today though. Grami and I took the girls to Super Cuts. We just did a little trim on Emma. I didn't want her first experience to be too devastating so I just told the hair stylist to trim the ends. Emma did so great. She was super excited and all she could talk about afterwards was the rainbow scissors. So cute!

Olivia wasn't too sure about all of this but ended up doing really well. I had them cut her hair in a little bob just below the shoulders. She had a lot of long straggly pieces and nothing blended very well. It turned out really cute.

So, here's all the new hair styles. It's hard to tell anything different; but they can tell and so can I ;-) I am so glad we finally had time to get the girls hair cut. It's pretty sad that their FIRST hair cut is at 3 1/2 years old!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

We had a great day. Marcus got to go hunting (well really driving around) with Poppi and Daddy and the girls and I hung out with Grami. It was very relaxing; the perfect Thanksgiving day. Hope everyone had a wonderful day too!

First Snow

Our first snow came on Friday night. We brought out the cool sled that we found at Cabela's this summer...it was a steal and works out great! Olivia is not part of this post...she was pouting inside because her snow pants aren't pink (unfortunately, I knew that was going to happen when we found her snow pants...hopefully she gets over that because we aren't buying new ones.)

Marcus was helping Daddy in the garage and found his lineman hardhat. He put it right on and ran around the yard thinking he was pretty cool.

Emma just threw snow at me. She loves the snow.

Here she is laying in the rocks trying to make snow angels. It didn't work so well in the rocks though. She wanted to build a snowman so bad but the snow isn't quite sticky enough yet...I promised her we would have plenty of snow soon and we could build lots of snowmen. I think this is going to be a fun filled winter! Can't wait for more snow (I know...I'm crazy...what do you expect from a girl who grew up in Montana?).

Style Watch

Olivia showed off more of her fashion sense last night. Some would wear this as a tutu...not Olivia...What a hoot!

Family

We have to take the opportunity for a family photo every chance we get...especially with a good photographer like Tracy around!

Olivia was really into getting her picture taken.

And Gia is always picture perfect. Every time I brought the camera around, she would look right at me. You can tell she is used to the camera and comfortable in her Daddy's arms. So sweet.

It was so nice to hang out with everyone all weekend. I hope everyone had as wonderful of a weekend as we did!

The Big 60!

Poppi got to enjoy some of his birthday...most of his day was spent cutting up the elk from last weekend though. We did have a short birthday party for him...Happy 60th Poppi!

The ice cream was a big hit!

And of course, chocolate cake always hits the spot.

Delicious!

A Short Walk

We decided more energy needed to be burned so we went for a short walk.

Even little Elle came with us. I love her hat and mittens...So cute!

Emma was very cold so we wrapped her up in a few scarves. I had to carry her the whole way too. Poor Emma.

Olivia stuck pretty close to Auntie Tracy. You can just tell by this picture how much she adores Auntie Tracy.

Inside Play

The fun continued inside too. It's so much fun to have so many cousins.

It is a little tough being the only boy however...pull Marcus...you can do it!

Olivia loves babies. She took very good care of them the entire weekend. I think Gia enjoyed Olivia's company too.

Marcus got a few smooches in with Gia throughout the weekend. Gia is such a good sport.

Outside Play

Our weekend at Grami and Poppi's was full of playtime with cousins...the weather was a little brisk, but perfect for kids that need to burn off some energy...

We love the big rocks. They are perfect for climbing and sitting.

Of course the bikes came out of the garage too.

The rocks make good hiding places too...I see you Ceci!

What perfect little models!

Grami even has a swing!

The kids found ice too. Unfortunately this scene ended with Emma and Marcus soaking wet. Emma claims Olivia pushed her; Marcus simply jumped right in. Olivia swears she did not push; I'm not too sure I believed her though.

But it ended fine; Emma changed and came right back out to help Sophie and Ceci break up the ice for the deer...what imaginations!
