Marcus was awfully quite tonight so I went in to check on him...look at this sweet boy...reading his books.
So I sat down to read with him and then Princess Aurora came in and put a spell on us. She told us she made us colorful.
All the while, Cinderella was putting all of her jewels in her purse. It was a good night!

More Birthday Fun
We had another birthday party for one of our daycare friends today. This one was at Chucky Cheese! The carousel was a popular ride with our kids. Emma loved it!
Surprisingly when Chucky came out Olivia was so excited; she ran up to him and gave him a high 5 and wanted her picture taken with him. This is (was) my cautious one...she's made leaps and bounds as far as the fear of everything goes.
There were lots of cars for Marcus to drive. He tried so hard to keep up with the big kids today too but most of the big kid stuff was too big for him. So he stuck with the cars.
Of course Daddy had to get in on the action too. He's just a big kid himself.

Happy Birthday Deanna!
We went to Jump & Bounce to help our little friend celebrate her 4th birthday. It was a lot of fun; mainly daycare kids so it was just a bunch of good friends. This is Makalya with Olivia and Emma. It was the cutest thing; right when we walked in Emma ran to Makalya and they hugged and said "I'm so glad to see you!" They see each other every day and it was like they hadn't seen each other in years. It gave us parents a pretty good chuckle. These three are pretty tight and hung out the whole time.
The party was at noon and ran into nap time...I was worried, but it worked out. The kids had a ton of energy and tried out everything. They are taking naps now as I'm posting.
Here's Marcus with the birthday girl. He also tried out everything. He loved the big slides and was right there keeping up with the big kids.
They even had this big birthday chair for the birthday girl to open presents. I couldn't' resist getting a picture of the girls. Abby is behind them and I'm so grateful she was there. She was such a big help keeping an eye on everyone and helping all the kids with the big jumping toys...thanks Abby!

Playground
There was a campsite and great play area for the kids at the lake. After lunch we let the kids go wild.
Marcus climbed everything. He gets around just as well as the twins do.
Olivia loves to swing...the higher the better.
The hope was to wear them out so they would take good naps. I think it backfired because the naps were short...hopefully that means a good night's sleep.

The Lake
We decided to take advantage of the 90 degree heat today and headed to the lake about 20 minutes away from our house. Sadly, this is the first time we've been to the lake this year and now with summer being over, it will probably be our only time. The kids were so excited and had an absolute blast...

Chilly
It was not very warm at Grami & Poppi's this weekend but the kids insisted on swimming in the creek anyway. I did convince them that it really was to cold for swim suits however, but they would have put them on had I not put a stop to it.
I really did try to keep a coat on Olivia. She kept running inside and at one point came running out with no shoes or coat on! Grami said Olivia is just like her, doesn't want to let summer end. I think she's right.
Daddy played with the boys all weekend. On Sunday he and Poppi went fishing with Raymond and on Monday they went grouse hunting. Look what they brought back! Emma and Marcus were super excited, Olivia is more like her Mommy...we'll eat them, but we're not to crazy about the rest of the process.
If Marcus would have had his way, he would have been with the boys all weekend. A few more years Marcus, just a few more years. I'm not sure if his patience will hold up much longer...he's his Daddy's boy, that's for sure!
Farmers Market
We spent Labor Day Weekend with Grami. On Sunday we headed to Yakima to the Farmer's Market.
I loved the colors in this...I thought it would look great in Auntie Tracy's kitchen so had to get a picture of it.

Marcus was very helpful. He was so excited to carry the cantaloupe and he wanted to carry the watermelon too, but it was much to big.
We made a stop to McDonald's for some lunch before heading back to Grami's for naps. The girls kept looking for "Old McDonald" and were very disappointed they didn't find him. They haven't figured out it's really "Ronald McDonald", but I'm sure they'll get it someday.
