Observant

Marc was at the neighbors helping them build a deck today. So tonight the kids and I headed over to visit. One of their friend's was also there and Marc introduced all of us to him. When the kids and I came home the conversation went like this:

Emma: "Mommy, Daddy has a wife named Tracie"
Me: "Oh? Is it me?"
Emma: "No"
Me: "Daddy has another wife besides me?"
Emma: "Yes, I think so..."

I asked Marc about this when he came home and his conversation with her went like this:

Marc: "Emma, what is my wife's name?"
Emma: "Tracie"
Marc: "Is my wife Mommy?"
Emma (looking at me a little confused): "No?"
Marc: "Did Daddy introduce my wife Tracie to his friend?"
Emma: "YES!"
Marc: "Mommy is my wife Tracie"
Emma: "Oh, Yes!"

She got it! I was just in aw at how she picked up that conversation and how she interpreted it. We got her straightened out though, she now knows Marc only has one wife named Tracie and that is also Mommy.

A Little Dirt Don't Hurt

Emma played hard tonight.

She was playing with the dump trucks most of the night.

I told her she looks like an auto mechanic after working hard on those trucks...she just laughed at me.

Parade

I took the kids to a small town parade today. Honestly, I think this is the first time any of them has ever been to a parade.

The twins especially liked all the princesses. They worked really hard on their princess waves too.

Marcus was really into all the big trucks and tractors and of course the horses too.

The best part of course was all the candy.

Marcus was all over running into the street to gather all the candy that was thrown.

They even threw Popsicles! That was a nice treat because it was HOT and we were melting. I think it was a hit. On our way back to the car Emma said "That was so fun Mommy".

OUCH!

Marcus got into a wasp nest tonight! OUCH! Surprisingly he only got bit once. All we heard was his screams and Marc ran to him and found him surrounded by wasps. We literally had to strip him down to get the wasps away from him. I still can't believe he came out of it with just one bite. It was a big bite though and looked sore. He barley cried...he's a tough one. He just says "Ouch" every once in a while and rubs his bite mark. Poor Baby.

Oh, and I just had to share Olivia's fashion statement tonight. She said she was "Princess Sereta" (a name the twins have come up with and use all the time lately) and that she was going to a dance contest. Marc said she looked a little like a gypsy...Oh My!

Just a Tuesday Evening

While the girls gave hugs...

and chatted the night away.

Marcus acted his age (sorry, I couldn't resist posting this one :-))...

and talked on Daddy's cell phone.

Visitors from afar

Our good friends Leon, Cindy, Kade and Tanner came to visit this weekend. They live far away so we had a BBQ with all of our friends so everyone would get to see them.
Kade and Tanner were great with the little ones. Here they are teaching Olivia how to dribble a basketball. She did pretty well.

Olivia let Tanner drive her car too. She had to ride along though to make sure he did everything he was supposed to do. She can be a little bossy sometimes :-)

It was very hard to say goodbye today. The girls decided they want big brothers now :-) Thanks for coming to visit Leon, Cindy, Kade and Tanner! Hope you had a safe trip back!

Baseball

We took the kids to the baseball game tonight. We arrived early and started out with hotdogs.
Then we watched a little of the game. The kids did pretty well for the most part.

Then we went to the "kids corner" and played in a jumping house and in the batting cages. All the kids got to participate, they were all really into it, especially Marcus...he even chased his own balls.
The kids lasted until the 6th inning and it was a high scoring game too.

We didn't leave the ballpark until 9pm...they were all exhausted, hopefully that means good sleep tonight!

The River

We couldn't head West without stopping at Raymond's. It was HOT this time so we just had to swim in the river. Marc made a path by clearing rocks so it was easier to get in the river. He even made a little wading pool to sit in. It was lots of fun and definately provided the coolness we needed.

Beach Fun

This was the one place I wanted to go. I'm so glad we did, the kids loved it and can't wait to go back again soon!

Next Stop

After meeting Elle, we headed up to Wes and Tracy's to hang out for a few days. The first night was a rough one with Marcus. He was up most of the night and early the next morning. I gave up on him and handed him over to Daddy...this is how I found them when I got up for the day. Marc said he was talking to Wes before Wes had to go to work and Marcus just crawled on his feet and fell asleep. Too funny!

Hello Giavanna!

Olivia was by Giavanna's side most of the time. She kept calling Gia her baby. I'm glad she's got baby cousins, cause she won't be having anymore baby siblings.

The princesses hit it off once again. These four play so well together...it's so much fun to watch.

We did try to get a cousin picture but Marcus didn't want anything to do with this princess stuff.

Welcome to the Family!

We went over to meet Elle for the first time on Weds. She is absolutely beautiful! I forget how little they are as newborns. So sweet.
Olivia is so baby crazy right now. She just wanted to kiss and hug and hold Elle. She is going to make a good big cousin.
Even Marcus was into the baby kissing. Smack! Congratulations Kimmie & Colby!
