Let's Go Racing!

Marc started racing again and we decided to go cheer him on tonight.

Go Daddy Go!

Here is his car getting ready to go racing. We only got to see one of his races and then it got late...we didn't make it home until 10:30 and he was still racing! Marcus loved all of the racing but he cried and held out his arms screaming "Daddy" the entire time Marc raced. Then when Marc got out of the car Marcus screamed even louder. He really wanted to be with Daddy. That was seriously the only race he cried during; all the others he was jumping and clapping and cheering. He just couldn't believe Daddy would race that car without him. Oh, Marc took 3rd in the race we watched...we were all so very proud.

10 years

Today is our 10 year anniversary! We celebrated with the kids and our friend Brandon tonight (we really do need to get out sometime :-)).

First we made a jello cake.

Then we sat around and talked about our day...(this is actually something we do every night at dinner...everyone gets a turn to talk about what they did that day).

And we ate steak...Marcus is definitely our big steak eater...

It was actually the perfect way to spend our 10-year anniversary. It was a beautiful night and it's always fun to hang out with the kids to see what they will do next.

Birthday Party on the Lake

Another friend turned 3 years old! The kids and I went to our friends' house for the big party...and it was BIG! They had different kinds of kiddie pools all with slides. Marcus tested all of them and gave each one 2 thumbs up!

Emma loved the kiddie pools too.

Our friends live on a lake and we even got to see a little family of ducks go by. Marcus really wanted out...I'm sure he wanted to ride in their boat :-)

Olivia was attracted to the Jumping Castle...wouldn't you know it. I was hesitant at first but could not keep her out. She had a ball. It was probably good for me. I know her last jumping accident was a fluke, but it still scares me.
They even had this big slide and of course Olivia had to try that too. She is my little dare devil, that's for sure! She ended the day with no injuries and super tired. All in all the kids had a ton of fun. As we were leaving Emma said her goodbyes to everyone and ended with "Don't worry, we'll come back tomorrow." Oh well, a girl can dream :-)

Rainbows

We had a downpour at snack time tonight. I glanced out the window to find this...

Of course I had to get the kids outside to see it too...

Olivia and Emma were so excited. Olivia said "We can slide down it like Dora". Emma said "We can swing on it like Mickey Mouse". My kids don't watch too much TV, do they? Olivia even added "Daddy made it for us." (Daddy is out of town this weekend). I did let them know that God actually made it for us. They both agreed "It's beautiful"...it really was.

Good Props

The twins got this great wagon from Grami & Poppie for their birthday. It turned out to be the perfect prop for group photos.

All the cousins...until next month...then there will be one more to add :-) My how our family has grown in 5 short years!

Emma & Olivia were in love with Giavanna. They love to say her name and did really well holding her. The both really love babies.

Marc took a few photos during the weekend too. I just love this one of Olivia.

A little rough?

I was going through pictures tonight and ran across the above. I thought "Oh My! Marcus is quite brutal!" He looks as if he's strangling Ceci and Sophie is trying to rescue her...must be the frustration of being the only boy amongst all girl cousins...

Then I saw the next picture in the series and saw that Ceci was actually making a great silly face...few.

This was the best one I got of the immediate cousins mixed with a couple of extended cousins. Pretty cute...captures their ages for sure :-)

Kimmie's Baby Shower

We had a baby shower for Kimmie & Colby this weekend at Grami and Poppi's house. Cute cake, don't you think?

The little baby was specially made by Aunt Pat years and years ago I found out. Perfect touch.

The glowing Mommy-to-be. You look beautiful Kimmie!

It was fun to see everyone again...Corrie even had a beer for Kimmie :-) We are so excited for you Kimmie & Colby...can't wait to meet your baby girl soon!!!

Photographer

Little Miss Emma loves to take pictures with the camera. While I was BBQing tonight, here are a few shots Emma got all by herself.

Olivia was not impressed :-)

Not bad...She captured Marcus' new look...the skinned up face. That was due to a face plant in the driveway this weekend. Oh will the injuries ever end (ok, so I know the answer to that one)? Good Photography Emma!

Drs & Dentists

Marcus had his 18 month check up today. He is 24.2 lbs (25%) and 32.5 inches long (50%). He's staying pretty consistent. He's saying a ton of words now too. We even worked on where our eyes, nose and ears are while waiting in the drs office...it took forever so he has those mastered now :-)

The girls had their very first dentist visit yesterday too. They did so well. Emma went with the hygienist all by herself and I didn't even see one thing they did to her. What a brave girl. Olivia on the other hand would not speak to anyone and held my hand the entire time. She did really well opening her mouth and doing everything they asked, she was just extremely shy. That is the norm though. Our little social Emma and shy Olivia. I took them to my work afterwards to show them off. They had a blast running around and everyone thought they were beautiful...I have to agree of course :-) I couldn't have been more proud.

Happy 3rd Birthday

OLIVIA

EMMA

THREE YEARS OLD!

We had a small family celebration with left over Nana cake tonight. Daddy came home just for the birthday celebration (Marc has been working out of town during the week and coming home on weekends the past few weeks...so this was a nice treat). I found myself going down memory lane all night last night and all day today thinking of what I was doing at certain times 3 years ago. So hard to believe they are already 3.

I LOVE YOU TWO!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
