First Cars

The girls got Princess cars from Nana and Papa for their birthday...aren't these great?!? Olivia was a little hesitant yesterday, but she's warming up to them now.
Marcus loves these cars. He actually drives them by himself too. Surprisingly Emma is a great driver.

Bye Bye Everyone!

3rd Bday Party Time

We had a ton of friends and family show up for the 3rd year in a row. So far we have had great weather for all three birthdays we have done for the twins. It works out perfect to have everyone over and party in our front yard. Thanks to everyone that came. The girls still can't stop talking about it...they were really excited to have everyone here to share thier birthday celebration.

Tropical Cake

Happy 3rd Birthday Olivia & Emma! We celebrated in style with a Luau theme this weekend.

The girls each had their own little Hawaiian doll cake...we had to pretend to blow out candles because it was very windy yesterday.

The wind didn't blow away the birthday fun though...

Once again, Nana outdid herself and made the beautiful cake.

Look at the detail on this cake!

It was absolutely perfect!
Complete with sunbathing beauties...THANK YOU MOM...can't wait to see the next cake!

Funniest Home Videos?

This is hilarious. Marcus did this all on his own. Can you belive this kid didn't get injured during our week of injuries?

Hanging out

Sunday the girls and I went shopping in the morning which was a blast...then we just hung out for a while with Raymond.

Emma was sure to pick as many flowers/weeds as she could find. I think her boyfriends are in trouble...she LOVES flowers!

Marcus tested out Raymond's new boat. He always has to drive.

He even found some tools to help Raymond get it ready for the water.

The greatest thing about this boat is that Emma thinks it is her boat. When Raymond called to tell us he got the boat Emma said "You bought me a boat Raymond?" When we pulled into his driveway this weekend Emma said "There's my boat! It's beautiful!" She was serious. I asked her if she got to go on the boat before we left and she said "Nope, it's not ready yet." I said "When will it be ready?" She said "for my birthday!" I can not believe the things that come out of that girl's mouth lately. She cracks me up!

BBQ @ Raymond's

We went to the West-side for a Memorial Day BBQ at Raymond's house. Olivia is finally walking without a limp...

she's even running quite well. She kept up with all the kids at the party and there were lots of them there.

Here's Raymond with his cute little niece and his Mom. Marcus is keeping them all entertained.

It was so beautiful outside...perfect for a BBQ.

We even had smores...YUMMY!

Workin'

While we waited in the jeep for the cattle drive (see Grami's blog for more on that...), Marcus and Poppi went to work on the tractor.
Marcus sure does love tractors. He is a true boy.

Out of the mouths of Babes

We have a 20 minute ride to daycare each morning and a lot of cuteness happens during the drive. This morning Emma was her usual chatty self...the conversation went something like this:

Emma: "Mommy, you don't like cats because they make you sneeze."
Me: "That's right Emma, cats make me sneeze."
Emma: "But you love dogs."
Me: "Yes, I do love dogs."
Emma: "Dogs have big noses" (then she giggles and so do I)
Emma: "Daddy has a big nose too" (I'm cracking up at this point)..."Daddy's nose is this big" (I glance back to see her with one hand above her head and the other just below her chin).
Me: "You are funny Emma"
Emma: "I am funny"...giggle...giggle...

I have no idea where that conversation came from but I can't wait to tell Marc! Don't you love it? Hope everyone has a great weekend!

On the mend

Emma got her stitches out on Tuesday. Let's just say, I don't know what was worse, getting them put in or taken out. She literally freaked out when the doctor came near her. It took three of us to hold her down and in the end I thought I was going to have to run her back to the ER to get the stitches put back. The doctor and nurse were exhausted when they were done. The nurse even asked me if I was alright because I guess I was extremely pale. I really was upset that she had to go through that and just wanted to hold her forever. Honestly, I think I could have done better if I would have just done it at home. I sure hope I don't have to go through that again anytime soon.

Olivia is rapidly becoming her old self. Her limp is almost gone...I even caught her running a little tonight. She has become very independent lately too. She dresses herself, helps with Marcus and Emma, cleans up after herself (I don't even have to ask her to do it) and everything. It's pretty cool, but pretty sad at the same time. She's getting to be such a big girl.

Marcus got a fat lip today. I wasn't there so you can't turn me into CPS. It happened at daycare. It's really not that bad, but I decided that's episode #3 and no more bad stuff is going to happen now. We are done...we better be because I'm exhausted and honestly can't take anymore! On a side note...Emma is really into taking pictures lately...she took this one of Marcus...not too bad, don't you think?

Things come in threes

Just a little update...we are all doing well. I was waiting for #3 to hit (they say things come in threes...) but so far just the twins have had the unfortunate luck. Emma is doing great with her stitches. She is taking very good care of her chin. She doesn't let anyone touch it and she asks for a new bandage every night. This picture is so Emma...she loves the "yellow flowers" and takes such joy in picking them. Marc finally sprayed the lawn so unfortunately (or fortunately) the "yellow flowers" won't be around for long...
Even though Marcus is my reckless one, he is still injury free. Here he is today...why does he always find the one mud puddle in the yard to get into...oh yeah...he's a boy. I'm so not used to this...the twins were never really like this.

Olivia has a new nickname. Marc calls her "Scooter" because she scoots along on her bottom around the house most of the time. She isn't amused by it though. She has been walking the last 2 days but with a pretty good limp. She gets pretty tired and her leg gives out every once in a while causing her to collapse to the ground. It's pretty hard to watch, but she just picks herself up and keeps going. She does get very tired at night though and seems to hurt. She seems to know her limits though so we'll just go with it.

Oh yeah, did you notice anything new on Marcus...Daddy gave him another haircut...isn't he handsome?
