Garage Sale Find

Look at this great kitchen Marc found at a garage sale this weekend...only $5! Can't beat that.
Emma and Olivia showed off their cooking skills...
They said they were making pancakes...
Marcus thought they were tasty :-)

Poppi got one!

Poppi did get a turkey today...it was a nice one!

Marcus and Emma were very impressed (Olivia kept a safe distance inside the house).

This time I thought I'd show a little bit of Marcus' reaction...one thing I did not get on video was Marcus hugging the turkey (yuck!). Marc's comment to that..."he is my son!"
All Right! The video upload is taking forever right now and I'm exhausted (it's almost 11!). I'll try again tomorrow...check back...it's a cute one!
Here it is...

What a Day!

Poppi is here this weekend. Emma paraded around in her usual attire and Poppie got a kick out of it. He wanted me to post this so Grami could see too. Yes, this really is how you usually find Emma dressed at our house.

Look at this great toddler chair we found at a consignment sale! We paid $5! It has deer and trees and outdoor scenes...very fitting for our house. We bought it with Marcus in mind, but Olivia has pretty much made a claim to it (oh, and yes, she is still sucking her thumb...that stuff I painted on her only lasted a week and then she was back to sucking it...UGH!).

The weather was beautiful today and we spent most of the day outside.

It's always fun to have Poppi around!
I captured a little excitement from Marcus as Poppi and Daddy were coming in from the back of our property from turkey hunting. They did not have a turkey...yet...

Little Hunter

Marc woke up bright and early to go turkey hunting this morning. He came home just before the kids and I had to head out the door. Marcus saw him on the back porch and went crazy! It was quite a sight to see. He was so excited he could barely contain himself. Just look at this...

That turkey is almost as big as Marcus! Let's just say Daddy was proud and looking forward to the day he can actually take Marcus with him. At this rate...it won't be too long :-)

The Hunt

We took the kids to an Easter Egg hunt today.

It was cold and rainy, but they were up for it.

This was Marcus' first year to actually participate. It's so hard to believe last year he was only 4 months old at Easter.

He actually didn't want to leave. He explored every last area of the park before we finally mentioned that lunch was next and then he came running. Funny how the mention of food gets that boy going...sort of like his Daddy.

The eggs all had numbers written on them starting with 5. After we collected all the eggs, we stood in line to turn our eggs in and collect our prizes. The numbers stood for cents. Our kids only got 5's so we ended up with nickels...Olivia got 40 cents, Emma got 45 cents and Marcus got 35 cents...not too bad. They came right home and put them in their banks.

Royalty

Nana sent gifts! Look at those dresses, crowns and purses! The girls LOVE them!

Believe it or not, Marcus was napping during this and his room is right behind them. Marcus also got some presents and he loved his too (so did the girls :-))

Finally Spring?

The April snow didn't last too long. It was around 60 degrees out today so we had a lot of outside time.

We even bought a few flowers and planted our planters.

The girls were big helpers...they sure do love to plant things.

Marcus was all about helping Daddy wash the truck too. He actually tried to climb into the bucket at one point. He ended up absolutely drenched by the end but had a ball the entire time. Oh how I love spring. I sure hope it sticks around a little while.

First "Official" Haricut

This morning Marcus had his first official haircut. Daddy got out the clippers and started cutting away.
Marcus did great. He didn't put up a fight at all. He just sat there and let it all happen.
Everyone, including the girls, were paying a lot of attention to him though, so I'm sure that helped.
I honestly didn't realize how badly he needed that haircut. Look at that sweet face...we can actually see it now! He's not a baby anymore...he is a little boy! (sniff...sniff...).

Zackary Michael

Congratulations to Mike & Karilynn. They welcomed their newest addition, Zackary Michael, into the world on April 1, 2009. He weighed 8lbs, 4oz and was 20 inches long. This little guy put everyone through a lot. Karilynn ended upon bed rest at 27 weeks to avoid bringing Zackary into the world too soon. At 36 weeks the doctors let her move around again and little Zackary held on until 38 weeks! Good Job Zack! Karilynn said after all they went through with this pregnancy it's pretty ironic for this little guy to arrive on April Fool's Day. We went to meet him for the first time this morning...isn't he just precious?
